In a surprising turn of events for Marvel's Avengers fans, the Red Room takeover is back! Although the event wrapped up a few weeks ago, it is apparently returning from July 8 through July 22 to help celebrate the release of the Black Widow solo film. The event is likely to bring a lot of players back to the game for a short time, so those returning fans may want to check out the usual weekly rotation of content, as well.

Players should spot their Red Room Takeover chain quests in the Assignments tab and can select a hero to concentrate on and start powering through those solo tasks. While on the map screen, they should also take a moment to locate each of the Priority Missions and Challenges for week 45. There are some decent rewards up for grabs and plenty of XP, so it doesn't hurt to power through this content while completing other daily or event challenges along the way.

This week's (Week 45) content is now live and heroes have the opportunity to complete all the usual amount of low or high level priority challenges to claim some guaranteed item and XP rewards. Item rewards are very exciting for players who are still working towards max power level and the XP is a nice touch for everyone powering through the Champion system, but might provide a little less motivation for maxed out heroes. It's hard to complete the Red Room Challenge along the way since that is such a solo experience, so don't plan on crossing off these tasks at the same time like some events allow for.

The content in the spotlight this week is likely quite familiar at this point and the rotating challenges attempt to deliver new motivation to revisit those missions thanks to those guaranteed rewards. The missions that are up for grabs this week offer some unique challenges and require a bit of strategy thanks to special modifiers that players will have to adjust to. Be sure to note of the modifiers listed before diving in head first. Experience heroes may already be familiar with all of the different modifiers that the game rotates through by this point and have hopefully figured out how to adjust their strategy to successfully power through the weekly grind without any real problems.
