Marvel’s Avengers may be experiencing a severe content drought, but fans recently received something to be excited about. Jane Foster Thor will be releasing in the near future, and while it is unclear if she will be bringing new enemies and areas with her, fans are expecting her to release near the theatrical debut of Thor: Love and Thunder. Further, a co-op version of the MODOK boss fight is rumored to be in development, showing that work is being done to address the game’s lacking lineup of bosses.

With the future beyond Jane Foster being completely unclear, though, fans may be wondering who will be coming to Marvel’s Avengers after Lady Thor. Fortunately, leakers have provided a fair bit of info on the release schedule for future heroes, and one in particular seems poised to drop next. Once Jane Foster drops, Marvel’s Avengers can expect Jennifer Walters, AKA She-Hulk, to follow.

Why She-Hulk Will Likely Be Marvel’s Avengers’ Next Character

She-Hulk was the subject of several Marvel’s Avengers leaks, including one that highlighted the order for future heroes. Based on these rumors, She-Hulk has been planned for some time now, and her arrival seems more likely than ever. Not only is she next in line based on the supposed Marvel’s Avengers hero release order, but she also would fit with Crystal Dynamics’ new approach.

Jane Foster’s addition to the game was unexpected, and it likely has to do with the fact that Thor: Love and Thunder’s release is a few months away. With this movie set to feature Lady Thor, adding her to Marvel’s Avengers around the same time makes perfect sense, as the tie-in can attract MCU fans to the game. With She-Hulk set to get an MCU series on Disney+ later this year, releasing her close to the time that show makes its debut would continue the pattern that Jane Foster’s addition seems to be establishing.

While the She-Hulk Disney+ series currently lacks a release date, it is scheduled to debut later in 2022. As such, it can be assumed that Jennifer Walters will come to Marvel’s Avengers this year, likely a few months after Jane Foster. While this is purely speculation, Lady Thor’s debut absolutely seems like a way to capitalize on the Thor: Love and Thunder hype, so it makes sense for She-Hulk to be handled in the same way.

It is also worth noting that She-Hulk’s voice actor has leaked, with said actor seemingly confirming her role in the game. Actor Krizia Bajos responded to a post from a leaker stating that she would portray She-Hulk in the game, and instead of denying the rumor, she replied with a green heart emoji. With an actor seemingly in place and having recorded dialogue for the role, there is another sign pointing toward She-Hulk coming to the game next.

It will be interesting to see how the community responds to She-Hulk, as she is another character that will likely play similarly to a current member of the roster. While Crystal Dynamics was able to make Kate Bishop and Clint Barton play differently from each other, they were still similar in the sense that they were archers and sword wielders. With the game about to receive a second Thor, a She-Hulk DLC coming after could prove very controversial. Still, based on leaks and the plan for Lady Thor, it does seem likely that She-Hulk will be Marvel’s Avengers’ next hero addition.

Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
