Marvel's Avengers took the stage for a few minutes during yesterday's Square Enix E3 2021 showcase to build hype for upcoming content and share a new look at the upcoming War for Wakanda expansion. During the presentation a short trailer was shared for the new Villain Sector content associated with the Cosmic Cube, but the video didn't go into great detail about what player's could actually expect or when they could expect it. Luckily, an official blog post released after the event does exactly that.

The Marvel's Avengers Cosmic Cube Villain Event has been on the game's 2021 Road Map with a scheduled June release, but up until now no real details had been shared. It seems like maybe Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics were just saving the news for the E3 buzz and the full event details including all dates and rewards are now available.

The new animated team nameplate

If the Hero you are playing is PL120+, you’ll receive 1 Tachyon Exotic for the melee/ranged slots and 1 Tachyon Exotic for the Defense/Heroic slots. If the Hero is under PL 120 you will receive gear that scales in quality to your heroes PL. Make sure you’re playing the Hero you want those rewards on.

For fans who were a little worried after the initial E3 2021 presentation, the details presented in the new blog post should hopefully go a long way to making them feel a little bit better. Some members of the fanbase are questioning why the Cosmic Cube dates and War for Wakanda release month were announced in tweets after the event, rather than during the presentation, but regardless of the strategy the dates are out there now and fans can start planning ahead and getting ready to dive into the new content.

Marvel's Avengers is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
