10 Playable Charters: Magneto

Unlocking characters can be a hassle sometimes, especially when those characters are some of the best available in the whole game. One for the four unlockable characters is Magneto from the X-Men series. This villain plays a large part in the choosing of characters. He is one of those mutants that has abilities so overpowered that many people would rather use him through the whole game than wait to unlock other heroes to play with.

To unlock him, players will have to go through the Psi rift where they will face some bosses which can be found in story mode. Although they might be more difficult, the end reward is worth it.

9 Playable Charters: Elektra

Another character that can be unlocked is Elektra. Known to be a villain and rival to the hero Daredevil, she does offer a challenge to those who seek to unlock her. This martial arts hero offers a wide array of skills involving agility and weapons. She is strong when properly used in a team with Daredevil an Iron Fist. She resembles Daredevil greatly with many of her skills being on par with his.

To unlock her, players will have to go through the infinity trials; she is the main character on the first Rift gamma. Many of her levels are for players above level 30, so bring a good and skilled team.

8 Playable Charters: Loki

Another villain that players can expect to unlock is the god of mischief, Loki. He is a fan favorite leading many players to unlock him in the infinity trials. Aside from being a villain, he offers great combinations with other gods, primarily his brother Thor. Now in the series, he is unlockable not only as a villain, but also as an ally.

Players will be able to unlock him with a good team who is able to deal massive AOE damage. The end result will be unlocking Loki, who will prove to be a great ally in the fight against Thanos.

7 Playable Charters: Thanos

Many fans are still surprised that this is an unlockable character. Thanos is the main villain of Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3, and none were expecting to be able to unlock him as a playable character. Unlocking this overpowered villain will not be easy, players can take up the challenge in the Lambda Rift.

Although the Lambda Rift itself is difficult to unlock, some players will be able to breeze through the challenge. To unlock it, players will have to defeat the game twice and then fight their way to the top of the rift through the entire Black Order. It will require a strong team to gain the main villain.

6 More Costumes

It is no surprise that, in new comics and new movies, our favorite heroes get upgraded costumes and abilities. Particularly in Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3, these heroes have multiple costumes. While many would expect these costumes to be hidden throughout the game, most of them are not. A large portion of these costumes can be unlocked throughout the story and throughout specific missions.

It is recommended that players look through every available area of the game since many of these costumes can be found in the infinity rifts and collecting loot. If a player wants an X-Men costume from the 90s, then they should have a team of X-Men going through multiple levels to increase the chances of the costumes dropping.

5 More Rifts

Sometimes completing a game only one time seems like an impossible challenge for many players. Although players who are looking to get the hundred percent completion award may look to beating the game multiple times—especially when beating the game multiple times offers you two extra Rifts.

In Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3 these two extra Rifts are Lambda and Omega. They offer a wide variety of resources and bonuses that you cannot unlock at any other point. To unlock both of these, players first have to beat the game on Mighty difficulty and then another time on Superior difficulty. Although it may be challenging, it is worth the struggle for the amount of loot players can get out of it.

4 Secret Rifts

There's been a lot of talk about rifts, while many may already have discovered these. The grand majority of new players will have no clue as to where they can go find these rifts. Many of them will be simple and quick to find, they won't be challenging enough for players to really have to go seek them out. Nick Fury will give the more usable clues as to where they can find these areas, these are the simple rifts that won't give out great rewards.

For those who won't settle for the simple rifts, they can search and explore to their heart's content until they are able to find them. They will take time to find, but the rewards are worth the extra mile.

3 More Abilities

Many of the available characters come with their own unique set of skills and abilities (except for the web slingers, who basically have the same skills). These skills are not limited to four, as many would think. Many charters unlock extra skills that most players usually have to choose between since only four slots are available these four and four skills are not the only ones they really need.

You can gain a fifth slot, though it won't be easy. To gain the extra slot, you must beat the game three times on all difficulties. Adding to this, your characters have to be leveled up a ton before it will even be unlocked.

2 Team Boost

Team boosts are super useful in any situation. Many players iare able to use these to their advantage during a boss fight or even during regular story mode. Marvel characters are able to perform certain combos that will greatly increase their combat damage.

This, however, can be slightly tricky to pair up. To be able to gain the best boost, you have to combine certain categories like X-Men or Avengers. The combos will most effectively work when you have characters with similar abilities or who have worked together in the comics. To gain an even greater boost, combine the charters who are in the same skill category, as well as the same team. Its a lot of mixing and matching but with the boost at the end.

1 Extra Difficulty mode

Why would anyone want a harder difficulty mode? Many wouldn't want to have to complete a game multiple times just to unlock different difficulties, although there are a few reasons why you should. Players will have to beat the game two times before they can get Superior Mode. This mode unlocks many other options for the player, alternate endings, and even upgrades to the characters themselves.

The mode pushes players to test their skills by encouraging different team combinations and using different types of combat options. Overall, it allows players to go past the max limit for a character’s level and gain more skills.
