A few years ago, Marvel fans were excited to find out that remasters of both Marvel: Ultimate Alliance games would be coming out on current generation consoles and PC. Now, some are worried that the action RPGs won't be available on digital storefronts for too much longer.

A user on ResetEra by the name of Nerdkiller pointed out that the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance games are currently on sale for a deep discount through Steam. The user stated that they feel this means Activision's license may be about to run out for the titles. While the games have gone on deep discounts before, Nerdkiller thinks it seems suspicious that this current sale nearly coincides with the two year anniversary of the games being released on Steam.

If true, these aren't the only Marvel titles licensed by Activision to have such a short lifespan on digital storefronts. Nerdkiller brought up other titles, such as the remasters of the Deadpool game for PS4 and Xbox One, along with Transformers: Devastation. Those games were only available through online stores for about 2 years, as well.

As of now, there has been no confirmation from Activision in regards to this rumor. Other users on the site are also pointing out that the games were possibly on sale due to San Diego Comic-Con taking place last week, with the event ending on Sunday. The games aren't just on sale on Steam, though. A few other users on ResetEra have said they have seen the titles on sale on the Xbox digital store. There is currently no sale on PSN, however.

If this ends up being true, though, fans of the series who haven't bought the remasters may want to do so. Steam has them for 75% off. Each one can be bought individually for $10 or the bundle of both games can be purchased for $15, giving an even better deal. While many preferred the first game over the second, getting both for $15 is still a good deal, regardless of one's opinion on Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2.

The remastered versions of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 are currently available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
