Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is getting a new update on March 26th. The update will include "Fantastic Four: Shadow of Doom" DLC, and new free costumes for the Guardians of the Galaxy a day before the DLC releases.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was released back in July 2019, and has released plenty of bonus content, including two full DLCs. Both DLC's introduced a total of eight new playable characters from X-Men and Marvel Knights. The newest DLC will introduce Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, The Thing, and Doctor Doom, all as playable characters. Although the DLC is not free, the update will have four new costumes– including one for the Mad Titan himself, Thanos.

It seems as if each update will follow the same guidelines by producing a paid DLC, which adds new playable characters, and free costumes for already established characters. The first DLC released gave Captain America the Super Soldier uniform, Black Panther received Thrice-Blessed Armor, Thor with the Ultimate Marvel look, and Iron Man's Extremis Armor.

Now, the newest update will give three of the Guardians their Conquest armor. The Conquest armor is the classic look for the Earth-616 Guardians. Star-Lord, Rocket and Groot, and Gamora will all sport the blue costume with a red trim surrounding a gold silhouette of the Guardians logo. Drax on the other hand, is receiving his "Thanos Imperative" armor, based on a six-part comic series in which the Guardians and Thanos face a threat from a different dimension, the Cancerverse.

Thanos is getting his "Annihilation" costume, based on a Marvel comic where Thanos teams up with Star-Lord to defeat enemies at a galactic prison. Thanos appears with glowing red eyes, wearing a white robe and does not possess the Infinity Gauntlet, which matches up with the timeline of the comic. Thanos does have to be unlocked in-game by performing the Infinity Trials, but luckily, the Guardians of the Galaxy are the first playable characters for the game so their costumes will be available to brand new players as well.

Not only do the Guardians of the Galaxy receive new costumes, but some of the Marvel Defenders will have new costumes as well. Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Elektra, and Deadpool will be the characters with new costumes. There are so many costumes for each character in the Marvel universe and it seems as if Ultimate Alliance 3 will keep releasing new DLC and costumes to keep players entertained.

Ultimate Alliance 3 was among one of top 25 Switch games downloaded in 2019 and the game has remained popular with all the added content. This means there will most likely be more content added after the newest update on March 26th.
