There have been 13 live-action X-Men films so far, and the film rights to the X-Men were acquired by Disney in their buyout of 21st Century Fox. Quentin Quire, aka Kid Omega, is one of the most powerful telepathic and telekinetic mutants in the world. He is capable of making virtually anything as a telekinetic construct, and he has been a host to the Phoenix Force, who lived to tell the tale.

He is a self-proclaimed anarchist whose antics helped facilitate the Schism between Wolverine and Cyclops, which split apart the X-Men into two distinct teams for a time. He joined the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, run by Wolverine, Iceman, Beast, Rachel Grey, Gambit, Rogue, and Kitty Pryde. He is now a part of Krakoa's (the mutant nation that resides on a living island) X-Force team, which seeks to permanently end threats to mutant kind.

9 Namor The Sub-Mariner That Spent Some Time With The X-Men

Namor is most known for his association with the Fantastic Four and Avengers as well as his membership on the Invaders and the Defenders. However, it was revealed that Namor is actually a mutant, and he joined up with the X-Men and sided with Cyclops after the Schism. Namor's home of Atlantis relocated close to the mutant island of Utopia so that they could protect Atlantis.

Namor is a seemingly immortal mutant with incredible strength, the ability to fly, and virtually unbeatable fighting skills underwater. He was also a host to a portion of the Phoenix Force, which he used in Atlantis' war with Black Panther and Wakanda. He has since left the X-Men and no longer identifies with mutant kind.

8 Sunfire Is Capable Of Generating Solar Energy Akin To The Sun Itself

Sunfire was a part of Xavier's initial expansion to the X-Men team, dubbed the Giant-Sized X-Men. However, Sunfire returned home to Japan after their first mission. He has since returned to the X-Men and was even one of their representatives on the Avengers Unity Division, a team that sought to bridge the gap between the Avengers and the X-Men after the war between the two teams.

Sunfire's heat is nuclear in nature, allowing Shiro Yoshida to be a walking star. He is now one of Krakoa's official representatives on their X-Men lineup.

7 Mister Sinister Was Teased, But He Never Made A Full Appearance

Mister Sinister, aka Nathaniel Essex, was made a mutant by Apocalypse in the 19th Century. He became fascinated with the X-Gene and mutants as a whole. He frequently experiments upon them with no care for their health or wellbeing. He's fought the X-Men several times and ordered the Marauders to wipe out the sewer-dwelling mutant group dubbed the Morlocks. In the post-credits scene to X-Men: Apocalypse, ominous men in suits are seen collecting Wolverine's blood for "Essex Corp." In addition, the abusive school that Russell/Firefirst escaped from in Deadpool 2 was the "Essex House for Mutant Rehabilitation." Despite these references to Sinister, he never made a full appearance in an X-Men movie.

Nathaniel Essex has a litany of supernatural abilities, including telepathy, energy projection, a healing factor, shape-shifting abilities, and much more. Despite his crimes, Mister Sinister is part of Krakoa's Quiet Council of "Immortal X-Men" and runs its Hellions team of troubled mutants.

6 Exodus Is The Leader Of The Acolytes And A Quiet Council Member

Exodus, a.k.a. Bennet du Paris, is another immensely powerful telepath and telekinetic with superhuman durability and the ability to teleport. Exodus's powers have allegedly been enhanced by Apocalypse at some point.

He led the Acolytes, a group that fanatically worshipped Magneto. After the Schism, he tried to convince Wolverine and the Jean Grey School to return to Utopia. He is now another member of the Quiet Council of the mutant nation of Krakoa.

5 Proteus Is A Being Of Living Energy Capable Of Possessing Mutants

Proteus is the son of Dr. Moira MacTaggert, a close friend and previous romantic flame of Professor Charles Xavier. Kevin MacTaggert is a reality manipulator with frightening strength. He once needed to use other people as hosts, but he would burn out those bodies through the use of his powers.

Proteus caused a lot of trouble for the X-Men and New Mutants over the years, but he is now living on Krakoa and able to maintain a pure energy form. He Five, a group of five mutants that are responsible for the Krakoan Revival Protocols — which have effectively made all mutants immortal and capable of resurrection.

4 Omega Is The Culmination Of Every Mutant That Lost Their Powers

When Scarlet Witch decimated the mutant population by removing the majority of their powers, that energy had to go somewhere. This energy went into the body of a dormant mutant named Michael Pointer. This made Pointer one of the most powerful beings on Earth, with a bottomless well of power and the ability to access the power of every mutant whose energy he absorbed. He became Omega.

He was made a part of Norman Osborn's Dark X-Men and later joined the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning after Osborn's regime fell. His current whereabouts are unknown, but he is presumably somewhere in the mutant nation of Krakoa.

3 Vulcan Is The Strongest Of The Summers Brothers

Vulcan is named Gabriel Summers. He is Cyclops and Havok's younger brother, but Vulcan was taken to space with their father and was raised by the Shi'ar Empire. His aging was accelerated at this point, and his powers began exhibiting themselves. He usurped the throne of the Shi'ar Empire after the death of Empress Lilandra.

Vulcan is an omega-level mutant capable of absorbing superhuman abilities, absorbing and blasting energy, superhuman durability and strength, flight, teleportation, and creating energy constructs. He battled the X-Men and the Guardians of the Galaxy at different points, but he is now another denizen of Krakoa aiming to improve the mutant nation.

2 Krakoa Is A Living Mutant Island Who Feeds On Mutants

Krakoa is a living mutant island that subsists off the life force of mutants. Krakoa is a vast land mass that captured and almost killed the original five X-Men. Hehas returned to threaten the X-Men several times over the years, but he is now their most necessary ally.

Krakoa is the island upon which mutant nation lives. Krakoa communicates with the mutants that live upon it through the New Mutant named Cypher. He survives by absorbing minute energy from all mutants instead of targeting and killing one or a few. Krakoa's will is only known to Cypher, but, for now, he seems content with helping mutant kind.

1 X-Man Is A Telepath So Powerful That He Warped Reality

X-Man is Nate Grey, the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey from a reality where Apocalypse conquers the entire world. He is an alternate universe counterpart to Cable. However, Cable's telepathic and telekinetic abilities are hampered by the techno-organic virus that has infected him.

X-Man has been both friend and foe to the X-Men. He spends most of his time on Earth-616 (the reality of the mainstream Marvel Universe). He once reshaped reality as he saw fit with the aid of Legion. After this damage was undone, Nate Grey released the X-Men of Earth-616 and began focusing on fostering his own universe without imprisoning others.
