As an S-Tier Marvel Snap card, Taskmaster has remained a solid part of the metagame in the past few seasons. However, many newcomers—as well as new owners of this card—can’t figure out the best configuration for him. This is unfortunate, as Taskmaster is an incredibly powerful card. To help resolve that, this guide provides Marvel Snap fans with the complete blueprint for creating the best Taskmaster deck. This guide will also cover how players can counter Taskmaster as well if they happen to encounter it.

Marvel Snap: The Best Black Knight Deck
Black Knight is a risky discard deck choice; here’s how to turn it into a surefire card in Marvel Snap.
The Best Deck for Taskmaster
A consistent deck for Taskmaster is a Kitty-Infinaut lineup. To create this setup, players will need to add Taskmaster, Kitty Pryde, and The Infinaut to the team of Shuri, Sauron, Angela, Forge, Black Knight, Lady Sif, Ghost Rider, Luke Cage, and Red Skull. The goal of this deck is to absorb one of the big cards’ Power with Taskmaster and double it with Shuri’s effect.
Card | Cost | Power |
Taskmaster | 5 | 0 |
The Infinaut | 6 | 20 |
Lady Sif | 3 | 5 |
Shuri | 4 | 1 |
Black Knight | 1 | 2 |
Red Skull | 5 | 14 |
Ghost Rider | 4 | 3 |
Sauron | 3 | 2 |
Luke Cage | 2 | 2 |
Forge | 1 | 1 |
Kitty Pryde | 1 | 0 |
Angela | 2 | 2 |
Here’s how each card synergizes with Taskmaster.
- Shuri: Doubles the Power of the next card played to her lane.
- Sauron: Removes Red Skull’s Ongoing ability, turning it into a safe option.
- Black Knight: Adds the Ebony Blad to hand with The Infinaut’s Power once discarded.
- Lady Sif: Helps discarding The Infinaut.
- Ghost Rider: Can resurrect the discarded Infinaut.
- Luke Cage: Protects the buffed cards against debuffs.
- Forge: Gives a +2 Power head-start to Kitty Pryde or Angela.
- Taskmaster: Copies the Power of The Infinaut or Red Skull.
- Kitty Pryde: Returns to hand after each turn with +1 Power. (Can buff Angela each time.)
- Angela: Earns +2 Power per card played to her lane.
- The Infinaut: Gets discarded to create an Ebony Blade with his Power.
- Red Skull: Synergizes with Taskmaster to increase his Power.
How to Play Taskmaster
With a Taskmaster deck, the plan should be copying powerful cards’ Power while still having them on the board. In the current lineup, the following combos help achieve this goal:
- Discard The Infinaut with Lady Sif while Black Knight is on the board. This will add a cheaper Ebony Blade to the hand with 20 Power.
- Revive the discarded Infinaut with Ghost Rider to play on turn six.
- Use Sauron to drop Red Skull’s On Reveal effect. Then, copy its Power with Taskmaster for a total of 28 Power.
- Play Taskmaster into Shuri’s location to double his Power.
How to Counter Taskmaster
As an On Reveal card, Taskmaster can be countered with Cosmo. However, the ideal counterplays are Shang-Chi and Shadow King. The former destroys all enemy cards with 9+ Power, while the latter removes their buffed Power.
