A Marvel Snap player managed to pull off the perfect counter to Galactus. Known in the Marvel Snap community as one of the most devastating cards, Galactus destroys other locations and the cards placed under them if he's the only one played at a location.

Galactus is often present in many destroy decks. Marvel Snap players often pair him with cards like Wolverine and Nimrod since they can both respawn in other locations even after Galactus – or any destroy card – blows them up. So, it's important for players to hinder their opponents from playing this card, either by filling up the field or canceling Galactus' on reveal effect with Cosmo.

Meanwhile, Marvel Snap player ChemistResident2348 discovered a creative way to stop Galactus. In a 27-second Reddit video, it showed them playing Titania followed by Zero on X-Mansion. What this did was activate Titania's effect, which makes her switch sides every time a card is played in the same location as her, and basically took up their opponent's spot and prevented Galactus from nuking the other locations. ChemistResident2348 won instantly after their opponent retreated.

In the comments, many Marvel Snap players celebrated the Galactus counter, calling it "diabolically beautiful" and "the greatest thing" they've seen. There were also others sharing their own videos and tips against a Galactus deck, like using Spider-Man and Professor X on an empty location to prevent their opponents from playing any card.

One could argue that ChemistResident2348's win was completely lucky, especially since players won't know exactly what card their opponents would put down at a specific moment. But anyone who's spent a significant amount of time playing Marvel Snap and studying its metas would already have an inkling on how certain decks work, and what their win conditions could be. Sometimes, it's just a matter of being creative with one's strategies to figure out the most effective ways to win with the cards and locations they're given.

It's also understandable why many players might be cautious about destroy decks these days since Galactus has become a popular turn six choice. Although Second Dinner already nerfed Galactus earlier this year by taking away one point from his power, the developer said it will evaluate if the card would need further adjustments. With Marvel Snap coming out with regular card balance updates recently, players may or may not see Galactus on that list in the future. Better yet, Marvel Snap possibly comes out with another anti-Galactus card.
