Marvel Snap apparently lets players relive Uncle Ben's death repeatedly. Spider-Man's beloved uncle, known for the line "With great power, comes great responsibility," mobile game's collection of Marvel superhero and villain cards.

Released earlier this month, Marvel Snap is a PC and mobile game developed by Second Dinner, comprised of former Hearthstone devs. It's Disney's version of an online trading card game that capitalizes on the Marvel franchise. It's a fast-paced because players only need to play six to seven turns using 12-card decks featuring different characters to secure a win. The goal is to outscore their opponents in two out of three locations on the board.

Marvel Snap currently has over 200 cards that have varying power levels and effects, including those that are designed to "kill" characters to activate their primary abilities. One such character is Uncle Ben, a Character-type card with 1 Energy and 2 Power. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any offensive or defensive abilities. Instead, he's meant to add Spider-Man to player's hand when he's destroyed.

Basically, Uncle Ben's death in Marvel Snap becomes the catalyst for Spider-Man to spring into action in the game. It's accurate to how the superhero started fighting bad guys in the comics and movies after the tragic event. Meanwhile, the Spider-Man card is a Character type with 4 Energy and 2 Power. When summoned on the field, opponents can't play cards on his location in their next turn.

Marvel Snap players can also kill Uncle Ben in various ways to bring out Spider-Man during their matches. They could play Killmonger to eliminate all 1 Energy cost cards, or place Carnage over Uncle Ben. They can also wait for opponents to target him during their turn. Whatever method one chooses, it's clear that Uncle Ben's death can be used to their advantage and players should consider adding his card to their Marvel Snap decks.

Slightly morbid mechanics aside, Marvel Snap seems to be a fun, easy to learn online card game for many Marvel fans. Probably the best part is that players can choose to either climb the ranks using their deck/s of choice in competitive mode or just collect Marvel Snap cards and its alternate art variants for fun. The gameplay is also a fresh take on the trading card genre because of how fast and snappy it is compared to others. Players of the game can definitely expect more characters and upgrades to arrive in the near future.

Marvel Snap is available now for PC and mobile devices.
