Marvel Snap developer Second Dinner has issued an updated roadmap for the continued support of the popular card game. While Marvel Snap is fully launched on iOS and Android, it's still in early access on PC and many core features have yet to be added to the game. Second Dinner has undeniably been aggressive in delivering these Marvel Snap updates, though, which makes this updated development roadmap that much more exciting to see.

A roadmap for Marvel Snap was shared for the game even before its launch, perhaps to establish healthy expectations for players. Features listed in the roadmap at that point that have since been added include Reward Delivery, the Inbox System, Titles, and most recently the long-awaited Collector Tokens system. It should also be noted that even then, weeks before launch, Second Dinner listed an Unranked Mode, Battle Mode vs. Friends, and the PC Widescreen UI as "in development."

Second Dinner's new roadmap has some interesting new additions, as well the shift of previously listed features into higher priority development. To start, the Battle Mode vs. Friends feature has been shifted up from "In Development" to "Coming Soon." Unfortunately, it's the only major feature to have been shifted up. Unranked Mode and PC Widescreen UI both remain listed as "In Development," meaning they're unlikely to arrive in the next Second Dinner development cycle -- however long that may be.

The "Coming Soon" section of the roadmap does have some other important additions listed, though. These features include Name Change, allowing players to alter their in-game name, Arist Credits, so all Marvel Snap cards and variants have their artists referenced in-game, Infinity Split Mods, allowing players to see what mods are on a given card, and then Russian and Vietnamese language support. All of these features are great for Marvel Snap's health, but won't necessarily change the experience for players.

Two larger features have since been moved into the "In Development" section of the roadmap, too. Smart Decks is a feature that will help auto-complete a deck based on an unfinished deck's cards. Second Dinner is also working on New Competitive Modes, which will use the features of Battle Mode vs Friends in interesting new ways. Obviously, more details on both these features will be shared in time.

Second Dinner also has a robust list of features that it's conception, which could move forward or even be released in 2023 if they make sense. Guilds, a leaderboard for Infinity-ranked players, Mythic variants, PC controller support, in-game events, and also Season Cache improvements are all being considered. Sufficed to say, Second Dinner is promising Marvel Snap players that if they continue playing, it has a lot of ideas to continue improving the game. Marvel Snap at the end of 2023 may look completely different to the state of the game now.

Marvel Snap is available now on PC and mobile devices.
