Marvel Snap continues to grow as the card game's player base can't get enough of the Marvel Comics action. Matches take around five minutes from start to completion and the game allows fans of Marvel to compete with some of their favorite heroes, villains, and those who fall somewhere in between.

Marvel Snap does a good job at delivering variant art versions of already existing cards, so players can customize the aesthetics of their decks in a way that brings them the most joy and entertainment. From the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the cartoons and comic books, Marvel Snap is for fans of the Marvel Comics universe, regardless of what medium made them fall in love with it.

8 Multiple Man

Competing in team-oriented sports is difficult enough, but when it comes to track & field events like the relay race, runners must rely on other people a lot in order to find consistent success. The baton pass is a critical juncture in these races and requires chemistry and timing.

A person like Multiple Man with the ability to duplicate himself could find the highest amount of both of those things and that is likely why that's the sport he was placed in for Marvel Snap's Sports variant card art. Colorist Ryan Kinnaird and artist Eduardo Mello were responsible for many of the pieces in this collection, and Multiple Man was easily one of their best collaborations on this project.

7 Rockslide

Marvel Snap Sports Variant Card Art Rockslide

Rockslide may not be a familiar name, but he happens to be a powerful mutant and a member of Professor Xavier's X-Men. His four-energy six-cost card in Marvel Snap may not be all that rock solid, but at least he's the beneficiary of some dope variant art. Shotput is an Olympic-level sport that never gets the praise or recognition many of the other track events do, so it's nice to see it featured on a card in Marvel Snap.

This Sports variant art for Rockslide also happens to be a collaboration between colorist Ryan Kinnaird and artist Eduardo Mello, who managed to put a spotlight on a lesser-known X-Men character and capture Rockslide's nature and strength all at once.

6 Luke Cage

A neat thought experiment for the Sports art variants in Marvel Snap is figuring out which physical activity best matches the character portrayed on the card itself. Luke Cage built a legacy as the Defender known for his strength, resiliency, and stamina. All of those characteristics are befitting of one particular sport Cage would flourish in, mixed martial arts.

The cage fighter version of the hero known as Power Man was brought to life in Marvel Snap by artist Eduardo Mello and colorist Ryan Kinnaird. Based on Cage's density and frame it's safe to assume he'd likely compete in the Heavyweight class and would quickly become a fan favorite if the UFC existed in the Marvel Universe.

5 Misty Knight

Marvel Snap Sports Variant Card Art Misty Knight

Misty Knight is one of two characters in the Sports variant art collection in Marvel Snap who are showcased playing baseball, and each of them receives a prosthetic arm. It might seem a bit unfair for her to pitch with a bionic arm made by Tony Stark, but if she's pitching to other super-powered individuals then it's likely an even match.

She has a very dynamic pose and artist Eduardo Mello and colorist Ryan Kinnaird decided to put the golden arm front and center. Fans can tell she's focused on striking out whoever is standing at the home plate looking to get on base. Though her one energy, two-power card has no powers, that doesn't mean she hasn't made her way into some competitive Marvel Snap decks.

4 Yondu

Marvel Snap Sports Variant Card Art Yondu

Before James Gunn and Marvel brought The Guardians of the Galaxy to the big screen, Yondu was nothing more than a tertiary character that would pop up in space-related Marvel Comics adventures. Since then, actor Michael Rooker made the blue-skinned pirate a beloved curmudgeon who garnered Peter Quill's love and admiration.

His weapon of choice is a tool called a Yaka Arrow he controlled with just his whistles. Since Yondu enjoyed long-ranged engagement, having him wield a bow and arrow in his Sports variant art for Marvel Snap is a smart choice. This art also happens to be one of the products done by artist Eduardo Mello and colorist Ryan Kinnaird.

3 Nick Fury

Marvel Snap Sports Variant Card Art Nick Furty

Nick Fury can be cold, callous, and calculated at times, but given the right circumstance, that type of perspective could be useful in the world of sports. When thinking about what part of sports the S.H.I.E.L.D. and S.W.O.R.D. operative would gravitate to, the idea of him refereeing sounds like a perfect match.

He basically had to do that in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when he brought the Avengers together. Artist Eduardo Mello and colorist Ryan Kinnaird nail it once again in this Sports variant card art for Nick Fury in Marvel Snap. Fury has the whistle ready to blow, and the way he's pointing, it looks like he may be calling a foul on someone getting out of line.

2 Bucky Barnes

Marvel Snap Sports Variant Card Art Bucky Barnes

Bucky Barnes, who is most known for being the best friend of Steve Rogers, happens to have a pretty solid card in Marvel Snap. For just two energy, this one-power card morphs into the Winter Soldier when destroyed. It's a must-have in any Destroy-themed deck centered on cards like Venom or Carnage. The Sports variant for Bucky Barnes has the soldier taking at-bats in an American flag-colored baseball uniform.

Artist Eduardo Mello and colorist Ryan Kinnaird really captured the vintage feel of what it would look like if Bucky pursued a career in baseball instead of the military. It's a shame that the Winter Soldier art doesn't reflect this neat variant, which is something Marvel Snap should correct when it comes to variant art for cards and the cards created from or attached to said cards.

1 Miles Morales

Marvel Snap Sports Variant Card Art Miles Morales Spiderman Dunking

Since the day Miles Morales's version of Spider-Man made its way into Marvel Comics, it feels like he has been synonymous with the Jordan brand of shoes. The pairing of the black and red Spider-Man suit with a pair of shoes similar to those belonging to Michael Jordan's brand have gone together like cookies and milk. Miles as a character helped present a Spider-Man enriched by both Black and Latin culture, seeing as he was a biracial kid growing up in Brooklyn.

The Sports variant card art for Miles Morales was done by Kael Ngu, who lent his talent to Marvel Snap. He managed to bring the world of Spider-Man and basketball together in a way that created a scene fans want to see made in other mediums going forward.

Marvel Snap is available on Android, iOS, and PC.
