In the highly addictive and popular card game Marvel Snap, players can encounter many of their favorite heroes and villains from the Marvel franchise. These cards in Marvel Snap all have their own distinct power, energy cost, and, sometimes, a unique ability.
One of the more recognizable cards in the game is the lovable sorcerer Wong. Wong is an excellent pool 3 card that players can obtain at a higher collection level. Wong is a 4-cost card with 2-power and has the Ongoing ability where he allows On Reveal cards to activate their ability twice at his location. As a result, the strategies and combos with Wong are endless.
10 Odin
Odin is an amazing card for players to use within an On Reveal deck, and one of the earliest cards that beginners in Marvel Snap will obtain. Odin is a card that players can get before pool 1. Odin has 8-power and costs players 6-energy.
Odin also has the On Reveal ability to activate all other On Reveal cards at his location, which is great for some other On Reveal cards like White Tiger. With a combo of Wong and Odin, a card's On Reveal effect can happen six times, which will most certainly dominate a location.
9 White Tiger
White Tiger is a great card within pool 1 of Marvel Snap that is best at putting a strong card onto a location that may need the power, or by placing a strong card onto a location that the player can't or won't play a card onto.
White Tiger is a 5-cost card with only 1-power, but her On Reveal ability allows her to summon a 7-power tiger onto a random location other than hers. With Wong's ability, White Tiger can send out two different tiger cards, which can create a heavy impact on a game of Marvel Snap.
8 Ironheart
Ironheart, a Riri Williams holding the legacy of Tony Stark, flies her way into Marvel Snap within the recruit season that every player will go through. Ironheart is a great supporting card, as she only costs 3-energy and provides 0-power.
She also has the On Reveal ability that gives three random ally cards an extra 2-power. As such, utilizing Wong and Ironheart together will create a great addition of power to other cards, essentially with 12-power being provided to other cards around the virtual table. Ironheart can quickly sneak a victory in with this strategy.
7 Black Panther
Black Panther arrived as part of November 2022's season pass as the pay-walled card. Black Panther will be available in pool 3 after that though. Black Panther is a strong 5-cost card that has 4-power, and also has the On Reveal ability that allows the Wakandan king to double his power.
In many cases, Black Panther can easily reach powers beyond that of Infinaut. Wong is one of these cases, as he can make it so that Black Panther doubles his power twice, getting him to an initial power of 16.
6 Gamora
Gamora is one of the best Guardians of the Galaxy cards that players can unlock in Marvel Snap, and, luckily, becomes available during the game's recruit season. Gamora is a wonderful 5-cost card with an amazing 7-power.
The daughter of Thanos also has the On Reveal ability that states that if the opponent played a card at the same location as Gamora in the same turn, then Gamora gains an extra 5-power. This boost brings her up to a great 11-power. With Wong and a great strategy, Gamora can quickly reach 16-power.
5 Forge
Forge is one of the pool 1 X-Men cards that players can obtain fairly early on in Marvel's virtual card game. This card will cost players only 2-energy and has a power of only 1.
Fortunately for players, Forge provides an On Reveal ability that will give the next card that the player plays on a location an extra 2-power. Simply put, combining Forge with Wong in the same location will make it so that Forge will provide an extra 4-power to the next card that the player lays out.
4 Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is one of the best cards that players can utilize in the game, especially when used within decks that focus on discarding friendly cards. Ghost Rider is easily one of the best 4-cost cards in the game and provides 3-power.
This card also has the On Reveal ability to bring a friendly discarded card to his location. With Wong working his sorcery magic, Ghost Rider will be able to bring over two discarded allies to his location, which can be an amazing strategy to clutch a location when needed.
3 Lady Sif and Apocalypse
Lady Sif is easily one of, if not the best discard-based cards that players can collect in pool 1 of Marvel Snap. Lady Sif brings a great ability, especially when used with Apocalypse. Players can make that combo even stronger by utilizing Wong.
Lady Sif is a 2-cost card with 4-power, also withholding the On Reveal ability to discard the highest-cost card in the player's hand. With Wong in play, Lady Sif can discard the highest-cost card in a player's hand twice. It's important to utilize Apocalypse with this, as he gains power when being discarded, and he is a 6-cost card.
2 Rescue
Rescue is the result of Tony inspiring Pepper to meet him as yet another armor-suited hero, and she definitely proves her strength in her appearance in Marvel Snap. This card is found in pool 3 and basically presents itself as a much stronger Hawkeye.
Rescue costs 5-energy, and also provides her location 5-power. Her On Reveal ability states that if the player plays a card at her location during their next turn, then Rescue gets 5-power added to hers. With Wong, Rescue can gain a quick 10 extra power.
1 Spider-Woman
Spider-Woman is a great pool 1 card in Marvel Snap, especially when it comes to interfering with the opponent. Spider-Woman is a 5-cost card with 7-power much like Gamora.
The difference between the two is that Spider-Woman's On Reveal ability sends off a blast that lowers all enemy cards' power at her location by 1-point. As a lone card, Spider-Woman is incredibly valuable for a location. Now, with Wong played before Spider-Woman, she can lower all the enemy cards' power by 2-points.
