For years, fans of the Marvel Comics character, the Hulk, have awaited another solo project for the character. There is a lot of depth that demands to be explored in Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk’s psyche for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The live-action Hulk that fans got for Marvel Studios’ movies had his story told through other projects, like Thor: Ragnarok and the Avengers movies.

However, with the latest tease from Disney Plus’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, it seems as if Hulk fans are finally going to get their wish. Episode 2 of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law saw the Hulk saying goodbye to Earth, as he ventures to Sakaar for some unresolved business. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a Hulk adventure.

8 The Hulk Becomes The Centre Of Attention

Considering that the Hulk is one of the last surviving original Avengers, it’s a shame that his screen-time is rather lacking. Bruce Banner’s character arc was restricted and stretched across different movies, but with a World War Hulk movie, fans could expect the first Hulk-centric storyline in the MCU since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.

By giving Hulk a story of his own, audiences won’t need to divide their attention between other characters and will be able to see the intellect of Bruce Banner, as well as the greenness and meanness of the Hulk at the center stage.

7 New Characters

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is forever changing, and with the continuity it follows, audiences will inevitably have to say tearful goodbyes to characters like Iron Man, Captain America, and more. Considering some iconic Marvel characters have been retired, it’s a good idea for the MCU to include those involved in World War Hulk.

The storyline includes the Warbound, a group of galactic refugees that became gladiators on Sakaar. Some of these characters are already in the MCU, if not vastly different, like Miek and Korg. This group followed Hulk as a leader as he returned to Earth for his revenge plot, and they’d make great additions to the MCU.

6 Flesh Out Hulk’s Story

It’s an understatement to say that Bruce Banner comes with a lot of baggage. The character had an awful and abusive childhood and spent the majority of his adult life hunted by the U.S. government for a power he did not want, which had civilians and himself, seeing him as a monster. Considering most solo-centric superhero movies follow the stories of characters, World War Hulk is a perfect opportunity to teach audiences about Bruce Banner and his fractured mind.

In the MCU, Banner and the Hulk are combined into one, but who knows what secrets lurk in Bruce’s head? There are many alter-ego Hulks to explore, and hopefully, audiences will see some of those when Hulk returns to Sakaar, a place that was home to fighting for several years.

5 Hulk Versus The Avengers

When Hulk returned to Earth after being exiled, he had a bone to pick with a great number of iconic Marvel heroes. MCU audiences have yet to see the Hulk at his full potential, as the character has been beaten by both Iron Man and Thor in different movies. In World War Hulk, Hulk takes on the Avengers himself and seems to beat them with near ease.

Hulk’s fight with the Avengers wouldn’t stop there, as he also defeated the Fantastic Four. The fact that audiences could see the Hulk battle characters like Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Captain Marvel, Thor, and others, makes for an incredibly interesting story in the MCU.

4 Awesome Gladiator Fights

With the help of his Warbound, Hulk managed to transform New York’s Madison Square Garden into a gladiator arena of great scale. For this arena, Hulk placed characters like Black Bolt, Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, and Dr. Strange with obedience disks. This allowed Hulk to make them fight for his amusement in these vicious gladiator matches.

These matches were Hulk’s way of revenge, considering the Illuminati members trapped Hulk off-world, where he was forced to fight for his life. These fights could be some of the best that the MCU has to offer, as Hulk makes characters like Mr. Fantastic fight Iron Man.

3 Arrival Of Sentry

One of the few characters that can stand toe-to-toe with the Hulk is Sentry. If these two finally come to blows in the MCU, fans are in for a great treat. Sentry is Marvel’s version of Superman, if not with an alternative side to him. However, this character is not yet involved in the MCU, so World War Hulk would be a perfect introduction, and a stellar moment of cheer for fans that want to see an awesome fight, and an awesome character make his debut.

Sentry has a great relationship with a lot of Marvel characters, like the Fantastic Four, and the Avengers. Sentry’s introduction could be perfect for the MCU, considering the character is worthy of his project, especially with the arrival of the Void.

2 Gives The MCU Some Edge

One of the major debates amongst fans and critics of the MCU is that the tone is rather consistent amongst the films. Many also agree that Phase 4 has been lacking in character, and any sense of grit. With World War Hulk, fans may see a deeper story, one that involves a lot of action-packed fight scenes, and a character study into the troubled minds of Bruce Banner and the Hulk.

If the film follows the storyline, then fans would once again see New York City under siege, as Hulk would lead his followers to attack and potentially destroy the city. It would add to some great conflict amongst the characters, as well as some much-needed stakes.

1 The More Hulks, The Merrier

With the World War Hulk storyline, one character was introduced that was not like the others. This character was born from a cocoon thanks to Caiera the Oldstrong and the Hulk. Skaar, son of Hulk, would make his cinematic debut if a World War Hulk movie happens. The character is smarter than the savage Hulk but does not lose the aggression and rage found within.

Adding another Hulk to the MCU is never a bad idea, as audiences can’t go wrong with big green characters fighting each other in fits of rage. Perhaps Skaar could have a long-standing run in the MCU or even act as the replacement to Bruce Banner.
