Over the last 30 years, hundreds of game characters have become extremely popular among the masses. These top names include Super Mario, Link, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Sonic, Pikachu, Master Chief, Doomguy, Captain Price, Sam Fisher, and more. However, none have been as iconic and deadly as the Greek God of war, Kratos. The Ghost of Sparta first appeared in the original Sony exclusive game, God of War, in 2005. Since then, he has become the staple mascot of the PlayStation and a reason for debate among gamers.

Kratos is strong. Like really unkillable kind of strong. He’s a god-killing machine and has yet to meet his match, even in the newer games. Hence, fans always wonder if he could beat gods from other realms, such as Marvel and DC. Let’s see what happens if Kratos faces some of the gods from these comic universes.

9 Sun Wukong

0_0001_Sun Wukong

Sun Wukong, commonly known as the Monkey King, is a Marvel character who first turned up in the Iron Man 2.0 comic in 2011. The popular character gains his powers when he encounters the spirit of the real Monkey King, who allows him to use his staff, the Ruyi Jingu Bang.

Sun Wukong and Kratos are certainly set for an epic battle if they fight each other. Since both the characters have iconic weapons and excellent hand-to-hand combat skills, their fight would be very similar to the one against Baldur. Still, it is highly unlikely the Monkey King would be able to beat the God of War.

8 Darkseid

On the DC Universe side, there’s Darkseid, also known as the Dark God or Darkness itself. He is the lord of Apokolips, an ecumenopolis planetwide city full of burning firepits. Darkseid is most popular for his role as one of the main villains against the members of the Justice League.

Overall, this blue-green behemoth of a tyrant is an unbeatable character who has taken down the DC superheroes multiple times. However, his sheer strength and power would probably not work against the killer of Zeus, Kratos.

7 Hel

Hel, most commonly known as Hela, is the daughter of Loki. However, in Marvel Cinematic Universe, she is the firstborn of Odin and the sister to Thor and his brothers. The Death Queen first appeared on The Mighty Thor Journey into Mystery six decades ago in the 1960s.

Hela is a worthy competitor to Kratos in every way. She’s ruthless and has superhuman strength, untouchable speed, relentless stamina, and a healing factor. However, she doesn’t have experience in killing all the gods. Hence, the Ghost of Sparta would certainly stand victorious against her.

6 Highfather

Izaya, also known as the Highfather, is a warrior turned ruler of New Genesis, the home of new gods. Hence, he is technically the god of gods in the New Gods saga of DC comics. Descriptively, Highfather is a big guy, standing at 6 foot 4 inches and over 100kg weight.

However, despite his size, Highlander is also a benevolent and kind individual, which is also his weakness. If Kratos and Izaya ever square off, it will not end well for the old guy, even if it is on his home planet.

5 Amatsu-Mikaboshi

On the Marvel side, Amatsu-Mikaboshi is the true god of evil and the lord of chaos. This character first appeared in Marvel’s Ares in 2006 and has since become extremely popular for being a primordial being. Like other gods on the list, Amatsu-Mikaboshi has abilities such as superhuman strength, durability, endurance, and more.

Additionally, he has knowledge of Japanese dark magic, which was effective against Greek gods. That said, Kratos is no longer an Olympian deity and would probably beat Amatsu-Mikaboshi’s powers. Still, their battle would be a spectacle to watch.

4 Morpheus

Morpheus (not to be confused with Marvel’s Morbius) is a DC comics god who is most known for his other name, Dream. He first appeared in Sandman volume 2 in 1989 and became known as the lord of dreams and reality, with powers such as dimensional travel, dream conjuring, illusion casting, and more.

That said, Morpheus’ battle against Kratos wouldn’t probably be a battle of strength. Instead, it would play out like God of War 3’s ending dream sequence, where Kratos overcame all the odds and beat his inner demons.

3 Bast

Bast is a Marvel god known by many names, such as Cat God, Panther God, Devouring One, Baster, and more. It’s a Fantastic Four character that first made his appearance in 1996 as a totem. However, since then, it has appeared in other places such as Hyborian Age, Wakanda, World War 2, and the Modern Era.

Bast is an extremely powerful deity with ennead physiology, immortality, teleportation, and more. However, Kratos has beaten more powerful foes with similar powers and skill sets. Still, Bast vs. the Ghost of Sparta would be a one-of-a-kind fight.

2 Wonder Woman

0_0008_Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman, aka Diana Prince, is a worthy warrior and one of the strongest hero gods in DC. She is the daughter of Zeus and the queen of the Amazons and has powers such as superhuman strength, durability, flight, speed, accelerated healing, enhanced visions, and more.

Wonder Woman vs. Kratos would be a great war to witness, as both characters are the pop-culture children of Zeus. They both have beaten gods and have certainly won most battles in their respective lives. Still, Kratos would likely win a fight against Diana because of the offensive weapons in his arsenal.

1 The One Above All

0_0009_The One Above All

One Above All is the ultimate god of the Marvel multiverse, making him as unbeatable as they get. He first appeared in Fantastic Four comic books in 2004 and has since become the ultimate symbol of unfathomable power. Over the years, he has been known for being truly omnipotent.

Sadly, One Above All has weaknesses that make him vulnerable against his foes. He has even been beaten by Thanos, as his existence does not let him hurt or kill things. Hence, he’s an easy kill for Kratos and wouldn’t be able to match his rage and destruction.
