A lot of Marvel and DC characters have been added to Fortnite, but both companies still have plenty of excellent options that have yet to join. With Fortnite being the nexus of crossovers that it currently is, it would be no surprise to see more Marvel and DC characters appearing on the roster in future seasons. Many of the biggest names from both companies are in the game already, making it arguably one of the biggest crossovers between the two. Neither company is likely to run out of candidates anytime soon, so their crossovers with Fortnite could keep growing.

There have been several crossover events in Fortnite in recent years, as the game continues to attract more licenses to it. These crossovers have spanned various mediums, with characters from anime, cartoons, games, films, and even YouTube managing to make appearances as Fortnite skins. Some of the biggest crossovers thus far have come from Marvel and DC properties. There was an entire season pass dedicated to Marvel characters as well as a Thanos evens, and there was even a crossover comic miniseries between Fortnite and Batman. The two giants of comics have proven to be Fortnite's most reliable sources for crossover material.

Fortnite Could Still Have Many Quality Crossovers with Marvel and DC

fortnite marvel heroes and villains

Even after Chapter 2 Season 4's Marvel-themed Battle Pass, there are still many Marvel characters that can join Fortnite. One that immediately comes to mind is Nightcrawler. The teleporting mutant is a popular X-Men member, and with his mother Mystique and sister Rogue already in the game, he would be a natural addition. Also of note is that not a single member of the Fantastic Four is in the game, despite their archnemesis Dr. Doom being a part of the aforementioned Battle Pass. Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch are just four of many potential Marvel heroes that could appear next.

It could be argued that Fortnite's potential DC crossovers have already peaked after Superman was added to Fortnite, but the DC Universe still has many heroes to offer. Cyborg is a good choice, since all the other most famous Teen Titans have already appeared. In addition, none of the Green Lanterns have appeared in Fortnite yet, with John Stewart and Kyle Rayner being good options to introduce the hero to the game. DC also has several other heroes that received attention in recent years such as Jaime Reyes and Crush that could benefit heavily from the publicity that comes from being included in Fortnite.

Heroes aren't the only characters that Marvel and DC have to offer, as the Joker Bundle from Fortnite shows that villains can join in too. Lex Luthor already appeared in the Batman/Fortnite crossover comic, and as one of the most iconic villains in comics, he should be a shoo-in. Batman foe Two-Face could be a contender for similar reasons. When it comes to Marvel, Kingpin is a famous villain who has tangled with many heroes, making him a good fit. However, the biggest addition of all could be Magneto, who may not be a villain anymore, but he's one of Marvel's most iconic characters nevertheless.

With its roster expanding on a regular basis, it would be no surprise to see more crossovers in Fortnite's future. Considering that its crossovers have covered everything from My Hero Academia to the Wu-Tang Clan, it's clear that Fortnite is spreading its reach far and wide to add new playable skins to the game. It feels like only a matter of time before more comic book characters make their debut. For that reason, it's a good thing that Marvel and DC won't be running out of potential Fortnite crossovers for a long time.

Fortnite is available for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
