These Deadpool and Wolverine comics stand out as the very best.
Initially introduced in The Incredible Hulk #180, Wolverine has gone on to become one of the most popular figures in superhero history. Much of this is due to film appearances with the character played by Hugh Jackman, who is set to bring one of Wolverine’s most famous costumes to life in Deadpool 3. However, Wolverine has had many great costumes over the years, as well as some bizarre powers.
8 Asgardian Look
Many of Wolverine’s costumes over the years have been short-lived, none more so than the amazing look that he gained in the Fear Itself miniseries. During this event, the villainous Serpent created a Dark Asgard and was a danger to the entire Earth, and Odin granted Iron Man access to the Forges of Nidavellir.
This enabled Tony Stark to create weapons made of Uru, the same mystical metal which Thor’s hammer itself is forged from. Instead of making a weapon for Wolverine, who prefers to use his claws, Iron Man made him a suit of Uru Armor, which had volcanic cracks and spikes, in addition to a terrifying gray look that was memorable, if short-lived.
7 Krakoa
The brown-and-tan look is one of the most recognizable in the history of Wolverine, and it was reworked for the recent X-Men outings in Marvel Comics where the team moved to Krakoa to escape from the abuse they faced when living among humankind.
Wolverine’s classic brown-and-tan look was revamped for his redesign in this series, with his costume being far more torn up in this edition. The wilder design went with the costumes of many other X-Men and how they were changed, both physically and mentally, by their removal from society to Krakoa, making Logan really feel like a living weapon.
6 Leather Jacket
Inspired by the looks of the X-Men films, Wolverine for a time more recently was found not wearing an actual superhero costume, instead mostly sticking to his simple leather jacket with the X symbol embroidered on the sleeve, still marking him as a member of the team, but in a more subtle way than the matching yellow suits, even if they look good on other iconic duos within the X-Men team.

5 Original Suit
One of the major reasons that Wolverine’s yellow-and-blue classic X-Men Suit has never appeared in a live-action film is that it was too cheesy for modern, serious superhero movies. His first-ever appearance made this suit look particularly weak, but as the character was expanded upon the larger fins around his eyes helped massively.
Despite having been changed a great deal, more modern versions of this costume have continued the tradition of this style, helping make it the most iconic look for Wolverine, in spite of the many appearances Hugh Jackman has made in movies that have never featured anything resembling this iconic original suit.
4 Ultimate Universe
The Marvel Ultimate brand took place in a separate Universe from the main Marvel Comics world, and many of the heroes and villains from the main timeline were completely reworked for this new branding, including Wolverine, who had a fascinatingly changed look.
The Ultimate Wolverine had many of his own adventures, having a generally much more brutal, adult-focused tone than the regular Wolverine did in his universe. His costume was darker colored but still had elements of the classic look with a dirtier yellow coloring.
3 Brown & Tan
The first reworking of the classic yellow-and-blue look took place under John Byrne, one of the most well-known X-Men comic artists of all time. Instead of ditching Wolverine’s previous looks, he simply decided to change up the color scheme from yellow and blue.

2 Revamped Original
It seemed unlikely that the yellow and blue color scheme could ever be really saved and brought back, however, in the more recent Astonishing X-Men series, Wolverine took up those classic colors with a sleek-looking suit that focused on a surprisingly bright yellow.
This look honored Wolverine’s original design while completely revamping it to fit a modern style. With a less exaggerated scheme for the colors and shorter fins around the eyes, this look is one that helps Wolverine retain an iconic style while making it feel slightly less ridiculous than the original would look today.
1 The X-Force Costume
A much-beloved look for many fans and one that remains the best, most sleek look ever pulled off by Logan, his X-Force costume was one of the few times that Wolverine has ever conformed his look to fit the team of superheroes he is joining, who could yet return in Deadpool 3.
After Cyclops forced Wolverine to lead this new, deadlier team meant for especially violent missions, Wolverine decided his costume shouldn’t be bright yellow under these stealthy circumstances. The black and gray look was sleek and worked out perfectly both for the style of the team and for Wolverine’s own character.
