The voice cast of Marvel's Avengers has been revealed, and a number of experienced and recognizable voice talent veterans from the video game industry are playing Earth's Mightiest Heroes. During Square Enix's press conference at E3 2019, along with the game's first reveal trailer, a behind-the-scenes trailer showed the actors who will portray the five main superheroes of the game.

  • Troy Baker - Hulk/Bruce Banner
  • Jeff Schine - Captain America/Steve Rogers
  • Travis Willingham - Thor
  • Laura Bailey - Black Widow/Natalia Romanoff
  • Nolan North - Iron Man/Tony Stark

Many of these voice actors of Marvel's Avengers have been behind some of the biggest roles in the past few years, especially for a number of cinematic story-driven games such as Uncharted, The Last of Us, and Marvel's Spider-Man. As revealed at E3, these actors will help tell an original story in the Marvel universe featuring the Avengers.

Some of these actors are quite familiar with the Marvel universe in video games and beyond. Nolan North voiced Rocket Racoon and Deadpool in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, multiple voices in the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series among other animated projects for Marvel. Troy Baker has done extensive voice work for the Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man animated series as Hawkeye and Loki. While this will be the first time North and Baker take the roles of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, respectively, Laura Bailey already has experience as Black Widow, as she voices that role in Avengers Assemble. Likewise, Travis Willingham (and happens to be Laura Bailey's husband) also plays Thor on the same Avengers Assemble TV show. Jeff Schine, who voices Captain America, is new to Marvel universe and his best-known role before this was Danny Burke from Mafia 3.

marvel avengers cinematic

This game is not following the same story or design of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as is obvious from the fact that the characters in the game look (and sound) nothing like the actors who played them on the big screen. Like Insomniac's Spider-Man game last year, Marvel's Avengers developer Crystal Dynamics is taking its own spin on the characters that fans have grown especially fond of over the past ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel's Avengers releases May 15, 2020, for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
