Every world in Mario vs. Donkey Kong has its own set of mechanics and enemies. Gamers will leave the icey environment of World 6 and enter World 7, the Misty Forest. At this point, players will have reached the endgame; levels will be significantly harder, and puzzles will get trickier than ever.

The Mario vs. Donkey Kong title brings back one of the most classic rivalries in all of gaming, but how does it rank amongst other Mario & DK entries?

This guide will help players get through Level 7-3; it can be quite difficult at first, as players will need to get the timings right to complete some of the puzzles without returning to the start.

Area 1

first area of level 7-3

There aren't any enemies in Area 1 on Level 7-3; players only have to solve the puzzle in order to bring the key to the door and open it.

The first thing that players need to do when they start Level 7-3 is grab the key, jump on the switch to get all the moving platforms to change directions, throw the key onto the platform, get on it, and duck to get to the other side. Then, gamers will have to pick up the key once again, jump on the spring to reach the yellow switch, and press it.

Next, players have to jump onto the platform on the right and throw the key so it'll reach the other side - the yellow block will prevent it from falling.

How to Get the Red Present

Players can reach the red gift by jumping off the yellow block. To avoid falling back down, fans must jump right and then turn back immediately; this way, Mario will land on the yellow block once again, and gamers can continue and bring the key to the door.

How to Bring the Key to the Door

Just like Level 4-2, gamers will have to leave the key unattended for a few seconds in order to get it closer to the door, so they must act fast while following the next few steps.

First, fans have to jump and throw the key upwards so it lands on the highest platform. However, the platform will move the key to the left, so players must quickly hop down and ride the lowest platform to return to the left side of Area 1; then they have to press the switch to reverse the direction of the platforms.

While waiting, players must activate the red switch to remove the yellow block that's blocking the door, and then they should move to the right area and climb up the ladder to get to the key before it despawns.

Area 2

second area on level 7-3

There are tons of Bob-ombs in the second area of Level 7-3. While they are dangerous enemies that will explode and hurt Mario, players must use them to their advantage to destroy sturdy stone walls. To break walls with a Bob-omb in Mario vs. Donkey Kong, players have to jump on top of it first, grab it, and toss it near the wall right before it explodes.

Players should try it as soon as they enter Area 2; there is a Bob-omb just below the spawning point, and players must grab it and throw it against the stone wall on the left. Next, they must use the spring to reach the wooden platform above and then climb the ladder to get to the other Bob-omb.

Since the red switch is activated, there are no blue blocks between the first and second floors. This means that players can grab the Bo-omb, jump down, and break the stone wall, making it possible for them to get to the left side of Area 2.

Next, players must grab one of the Bob-ombs, take it to the area on the left, and break the stone blocks to make the blue switch accessible; next, they should press it.

How to Get the Yellow Present

To get the yellow Present, gamers have to get back up to the area with the blue blocks and do a Handstand Double Jump below it - this will make it possible for gamers to reach and collect it.

How to Get the Blue Present

The blue Present is at the very top of the level, above the blue platform that hovers over the spikes. Gamers can collect it right before getting the Mini Mario Toy.

How to Get the Mini Mario Toy

To get the Mini Mario Toy, gamers have to get back up to the highest floor, grab a Bob-omb, and throw it down the right side of the level. This will cause the stone blocks underneath to explode, which will open up an entry to the area where the toy is tucked away.
