Here is how to get everything on Level 2-6 in Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

This article will guide players through the first level in Merry Mini-Land. This level will introduce fans to wind flowers and Donut Blocks, which they can activate by pressing on the switch that matches their color.

Area 1

The first area doesn't have any enemies; players only have to worry about the spikes below the first gift, which can be found in this area. As soon as fans start the level, they'll notice the golden key is only a few feet away from them. However, they won't be able to get it, as the red wind flower will blow them onto the platform above. Players have to press the blue switch to stop the red flower from producing wind.

How to Get the Red Present

Once the blue switch has been turned on, all the blue wind flowers will start blowing and the ladder leading up to the locked door will appear. Gamers who would like to collect the red gift on Level 4-1 should ignore the key for now and climb up the blue ladder instead.

The only way to grab the gift is to jump off the edge of the right end of the blue platform. This way, players will get close enough to the red Present to collect it, and the blue flower will send them flying back to safety so they can avoid the spikes down below.

How to Get the Key

With the blue switch still on, players must go back down to the grassy area of the level, pick up the key, and use the blue flower to reach the platform above. They'll have turn on the red switch, throw the key onto the red flower, which ascend and hover over the blue flower; then they'll have to turn on the blue switch once again and quickly get onto the top platform to collect the key.

Once players throw the key, they'll only have 12 seconds to grab it again. If they're not able to do it on time, it will despawn and appear back at the start of the level. After this, they can proceed to the next area.

Area 2

Players need to watch out when they enter Area 2, as it has several empty areas, so Mario can fall and lose a life. On top of this, there is also a Shy Guy roaming around the platform at the very top of th level. Gamers who are having trouble completing this level should consider changing the play style to Casual.

How to Get the Yellow Present

The yellow Present is right below where Mario first appears in Area 2. To get it, players will have to stand on one of the Donut Blocks for a couple of seconds so they'll fall and disappear, allowing them to descend to the lower platform.

Gamers must then go up the purple ladder on the right and turn on the blue switch. Once the blue switch has been activated, players can go back down and pick up the yellow gift.

How to Get the Blue Present

The blue Present is located in the lower area of the level. To get down there, players must climb up the ladder, turn on the red switch, and then go down to the lowest level. Once again, they'll be able to avoid the spikes by jumping close to the edge to catch the gust of wind coming from the flower.

The first flower will move Mario right, and he will be thrown onto the second flower's wind draft, which will allow players to automically collect the blue Present and will immediately transport Mario up to the platform above.

How to Get the Mini-Mario Toy

The Mini-Mario Toy is secluded on the bottom left corner of the map; the only way to reach it is to take the gust of wind blowing from the blue flower on the lowest level. This means that players will once again have to turn on the blue switch and then return back down so they can use the draft to get close to the toy. Once they're there, they can grab onto the Mini-Mario Toy and finish the level.

Completing all of the steps above will get players a gold star on Level 4-1 in Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
