Table of contents

Much like many of the other recent Mario Sports games, Mario Strikers: Battle League comes up a little short when it comes to single-player content. Worse still, there are very few rewards on offer for completing everything that the game has to offer, with only a handful of unlockables available at launch.

Though more content is bound to follow through patches and updates further down the line, some players may well feel a little disappointed with what's on offer. For those looking to find out about all of the unlockables in Mario Strikers: Battle League and what exactly is needed to unlock them though, this guide should be a big help.

How to Unlock the Championship Cup in Mario Strikers: Battle League

When players first begin their Mario Strikers: Battle League journey, they'll notice that there is a cup at the bottom of the list that they don't yet have access to. This is the Championship Cup and serves as the last obstacle for those hoping to fully complete the game. In order to unlock it, players will first need to lift the other five cups, after which, they'll receive a message letting them know that the Championship Cup is now available.

How to Unlock Galactic Mode in Mario Strikers: Battle League

For those who found Mario Strikers: Battle League to be a little too easy, there is a harder difficulty setting of sorts. Galactic Mode is far more challenging than regular gameplay, though players won't have access to it right away. Like many other video games, Battle League locks its hardest difficulty setting behind completion, meaning that players will need to lift the Championship Cup before they can experience Galactic Mode.

Once the credits have finished rolling, players will receive a message letting them know that Galactic Mode has been unlocked. Just like in normal mode, they'll need to lift the first five cups before being able to take a shot at the Galactic Mode Championship Cup. Should they find this new mode too challenging, players can always revert back to normal mode by pressing the X button while in the Cup Battle menu.

How to Unlock Bushido Gear in Mario Strikers: Battle League

Sadly, there are no unlockable characters in Mario Strikers: Battle League, but that's not to say that there aren't still one or two completion rewards. These come in the form of the Bushido gear set, which is unlocked at the same time as Galactic Mode. Unlike regular gear, which boosts one stat by two points while reducing another by the same amount, the Bushido gear grants a +4 bonus to one stat while reducing the other four by one.
