Nintendo has officially revealed when Mario Party and Mario Party 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. The two party games were part of a major reveal last month for several games coming to Nintendo Switch Online in the near future. Alongside them were iconic Nintendo 64 games like the Pokemon Stadium games, 1080 Snowboarding, and even GoldenEye 007 featuring online multiplayer. Now, Nintendo has revealed the official release date for two of its highly-anticipated Nintendo 64 ports, and they're coming soon.

A new video from Nintendo showcases the two Mario Party games set to come to the Nintendo Switch Online package while also revealing their release date. Both Mario Party and Mario Party 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch's N64 library in just under two weeks with the games set to launch on November 2nd. Nintendo has also previously confirmed that Mario Party 3 would be making its way onto the Switch at a later date. The Mario Party games were confirmed to feature online multiplayer in their Switch versions.

The addition of the two Mario Party games to Switch Online will be far from the first time the popular party spinoff has featured on Switch. Nintendo has already released two major Mario Party games on the handheld console with Super Mario Party as a fully new game and Mario Party Superstars taking maps and mini-games from the franchise's history. Superstars features re-creations of multiple iconic boards from the first two Mario Party games with fan-favorite settings like Peach's Birthday Cake and Yoshi's Tropical Island included in the game.

Mario Party and Mario Party 2's inclusion will expand the Switch's roster of Nintendo 64 classics to 21 titles with more set to come throughout the next year. While many of the console's most recognizable games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Mario Kart 64 have been added, fans are still waiting for some of the console's third-party hits. Games like Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Perfect Dark have been popular requests from fans hoping to expand the library beyond Nintendo's first-party games.

With two classic Mario Party games coming to the Switch in the near future, some fans have started to look towards the future for the iconic party game franchise. Mario Party Superstars was the subject of rumors earlier this year surrounding potential DLC to come in the future. Nintendo has yet to make any official announcement about DLC for Mario Party Superstars or a potential future Mario Party game. Mario Party and Mario Party 2's addition to Switch Online will give fans the chance to re-visit the franchise's origins.

Mario Party and Mario Party 2 will be added to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack on November 2nd.
