Barbie is one of the summer's most anticipated movies, and director Greta Gerwig pulled out all the stops to create this spectacular world. While the cast seemed to have a blast making the film, Margot Robbie ensured everyone else was as passionate as she was.

Since the Barbie movie teaser trailer of little girls smashing their boring baby dolls to bits, the world has been in a similar frenzy over the long-awaited film. With each trailer release, fans have been getting more insight into what the movie is about. What has also been getting audiences to act fast and scoop up the best seats in the theater are the behind-the-scenes stories. From Gerwig putting the world into a pink shortage to Robbie sending Ryan Gosling gifts with pink bows every day they filmed, everything about this movie seems like the party of a lifetime.

With fun press tours and more Barbie movie stories coming out as the countdown to release day ticks away, Gosling, who plays loyal boyfriend, Ken, shared another behind-the-scenes story. In an interview with People, Gosling revealed that Robbie had one rule that the entire cast and crew had to follow, and if they broke the rule, they would be fined. "Margot had this pink day once a week, where everyone had to wear something pink. And if you didn't, you were fined," Gosling said. "She would go around collecting fines, and she would donate it to charity." Not only has the Barbie movie gotten audiences excited, but it's also made a financial impact on those who need it the most.

Gerwig and Robbie put their all into this film, so much so that Gosling and the other male cast members were in awe of them. Gosling revealed, "What was really special was just how excited the male crew members were. At the end of the film, they all got together and, with their own money, made pink crew shirts with rainbow fringe." The movie had many directors and actors come and go, but Gerwig took on the challenge knowing that there was a possibility the Barbie movie could hurt her successful career. However, with help from Robbie and the enthusiasm from the rest of the crew, she was clearly up for the challenge.

The main idea behind the Barbie doll has always represented that women could do anything they want and sets a positive example for young girls. The film seems to be loaded with fun moments, but there is that real-world aspect that Barbie steps into. Merging a movie that appeals to both children and nostalgic adults isn't easy, yet, it's almost here. Robbie is an exceptional actress with plenty of excellent roles under her belt, but with the Barbie role, it's different. It's clear now that Robbie is Barbie, and there is nothing she can't do.

Barbie will be released in theaters on July 21, 2023.
