How To Create Marketplaces In Manor Lords
Players can set up a marketplace as soon as their settlement starts producing surplus resources. For instance, once a Woodcutter’s Lodge starts producing firewood in surplus, the game notifies players with a message asking them to set up a marketplace to enable the citizens to sell surplus resources. Creating a marketplace is as simple as following the three steps:
- Press C to open the Construction menu.
- Within the Construction menu, click on the Residential icon, which is the fourth icon from the left.
- Players can now draw a flexible plot on an open field, dedicated to the marketplace.
When a settlement accumulates surplus supplies, citizens will automatically set up a variety of stalls within the marketplace.
How To Upgrade Burgage Plots In Manor Lords
Players planning to expand their territories in Manor Lords will inevitably focus on unlocking Development Points, building a militia, and expanding their industries. To get all these things rolling, players must begin with burgage plot upgrades, which are tied to marketplace establishment. Burgage plots have two upgrade levels, with each level presenting specific settlement objectives.
For instance, upgrading a burgage plot from level 1 to level 2 requires the following:
- Water supply (structure)
- Church (structure)
- Fuel Stall Supply (marketplace)
- Food Stall Supply with two food varieties (marketplace)
- Clothing Stall Supply (marketplace)

However, it's also worth noting that, as a settlement grows, players may need to set up more marketplaces to accommodate burgage plots located further away. Additionally, consider building a Granary and Storage House closer to the marketplace, which minimizes the time vendors have to spend on traveling to pick up resources and restock their stalls.
