How to Get Fuel
To gather fuel in your town, you must first create the Woodcutter's Lodge, which is one of the most crucial buildings to construct when you start building your settlement. The Woodcutter Lodge can be crafted from the Gathering section of the Construction menu. It takes only 1 Timber to craft this establishment, and it will provide you with Firewood, the resource needed to produce Fuel for your village.
After you've built a Woodcutter Lodge, place it near a forest with enough trees to offer a consistent wood supply, and assign one family to it. However, make sure you don't place them near wild animals' habitats, as chopping down trees in that area can cause the animals to migrate to other locations. This will result in a lack of meat and food for the inhabitants, impeding growth.
Along with the Woodcutter Lodge, construct the Forager's Hut and assign it to a certain region to plant additional trees. The woodcutters will then continue to cut down those trees and produce firewood, while the other workers focus on restocking the region with trees and wood supply, resulting in an optimal supply of wood.

Finally, as the last step, you can unlock the Charcoal Burning development point if you have a spare development point and need fuel to survive. This will unlock a new building called the Charcoal Kiln, which will turn 1 Firewood into 2 Charcoal, ensuring an optimal fuel supply for your village.
