How to Get Firewood
Firewood is responsible for keeping your inhabitants warm and provides fuel for the industries to run smoothly. To obtain firewood in Manor Lords, all you need to do is construct a Woodcutter's Lodge. You'll find this building in the Gathering section of the construction menu, requiring just one unit of Timber to build. You can assign up to three families to work at Woodcutter's Lodge and once workers are assigned, they will start to produce Firewood.
Keep in mind that you can manually assign work zones for your Firewood collectors. To do this, select the Woodcutter's Lodge, go to the Advanced tab, and click on the Limit work area icon. This allows you to control where your workers operate.
Remember to assign them a new location to gather Firewood from once they have chopped down all the trees in each spot. This approach ensures efficient resource management and prevents over-depletion of your forest areas.
Moreover, if you leave your Woodcutter’s Lodge unattended, you might see that all the trees have been depleted, and you are left with no further resources. To handle that, you could set up a Forester's Hut as this buildingn structure is responsible for planting new trees in the areas where trees were cut down, allowing your forest to grow back.
Once you're making Firewood in Manor Lords, it's crucial to set up storage and distribution spots like a Storehouse and a Marketplace and assign families to them. These ensure Firewood gets to where it's needed smoothly.
As your town expands and demands more Firewood, consider increasing the number of workers at the Woodcutter's Lodge to gather firewood faster. However, if you still are unable to keep up with the demand, you can build another Woodcutter's Lodge to boost your firewood production.
