Star Wars fans across the world are anxiously awaiting The Mandalorian's second season set to debut in October. Continuing the first season's story, its cast of characters is set to grow larger with the additions of some confirmed fan favorites. However, this list keeps growing with the reveal that another familiar face will be returning: Bo Katan Kryze.

Previously, Bo Katan appeared as an antagonist, then supporting character, in several Star Wars TV series. Initially a part of the terrorist group, Death Watch, Bo Katan would appear in the fourth and fifth seasons of The Clone Wars as well as the final season of Star Wars: Rebels. With the recent confirmation of her return, this will be the first appearance of Bo Katan in over 2 years and first live-action debut of her actor, Katee Sackhoff.

However, Bo Katan's role in The Mandalorian Season 2 does pose an interesting question. When fans last saw Bo Katan in Star Wars: Rebels, she was granted the Darksaber which gave her the right to rule Mandalore. Fast forward to the end of Season 1 and Moff Gideon was shown in possession of the blade instead. Since this took place after the Great Purge, the community will most likely get details on how exactly Gideon ended up with the unique lightsaber.

Furthermore, with the return of other important Clone Wars characters like Ahsoka, perhaps fans of The Mandalorian and Star Wars will finally be getting answers that tie everything together between the original and prequel trilogies.
