April 15 is here, which means it is finally time for school to open up at Strixhaven. The new Magic: The Gathering set kicks off its digital pre-release events today and Magic Arena users will have a chance to participate in some exciting sealed events throughout the coming weeks to get a handle of the set and start to build up their Strixhaven collection.
The new Magic: The Gathering set is themed around a school for mages and, similar to the houses in the Harry Potter universe, Strixhaven features five colleges that makeup the established color theme archetypes for the Limited format. Each of the five two-color combos has its own theme and style and, although players can obviously splash additional colors while playing, each archetype will feature a lot of synergy within its own color cards.
To help get players in the school spirit, Magic released a quiz to help players decide which college they may fit in best with. The Buzzfeed style quiz asks about seven silly questions about how the player would respond in various situations and then prompts users to enter their email. The email that is delivered will include an acceptable letter to Strixhaven along with more information about the college the user landed in. Most importantly, the email also includes one of five card sleeve promos based on the quiz results.

There will likely be some additional Strixhaven promo codes activated in the coming weeks as the digital and physical product roll out. It has become a tradition for the physical pre-release packs to include a promo code for some Magic Arena packs, so it won't be surprising for a PlayStrixhaven code to become active in the very near future. Be sure to check back for confirmation and more details on that after the physical pre-release packs go on sale and players start cracking open packs and building those sealed decks.
