Offensive linemen are the least measured position in Madden NFL 24. Outside of a few organizations that care about data analytics, the public largely only notices offensive linemen when they make a mistake since it results in a sack, tackle for loss, and/or fumble.

But professional teams are perfectly aware of how much the offensive line means to the team. Scouts watch these guys and keep track of how well they shut down edge rushers and defensive linemen as well as pick up blitzes. Madden NFL 24 rewards gamers that have strong offensive linemen on the squad.

10 Tristan Wirfs - LT - 92 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Tristan Wirfs Preseason Player Rating

After winning the Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in his rookie season, Tristan Wirfs has made the last two consecutive Pro Bowls. He's had some injury issues but his work when he's on the field has given scouts all the evidence they need to render a verdict.

Wirfs was the one constant as Tampa Bay lost some of their best offensive linemen to free agency. Thankfully, they retained Wirfs who is ready to be the cornerstone of the line when the issues at quarterback get ironed out.

9 Quenton Nelson - LG - 92 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Joel Bitonio Preseason Player Rating

Quenton Nelson is been to the Pro Bowl for every year of his five-year career despite being on a Colts team that has seen some severe ups and downs. In the midst of a downturn, Nelson still turned in an impressive performance in 2022.

Nelson has also started in all but four games during this span, showing an unusual healthiness for the position. If he stays healthy and Indianapolis can figure out their issues at quarterback, Nelson's OVR should rise as the season progresses.

8 Joel Bitonio - LG - 92 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Joel Bitonio Preseason Player Rating

Joel Bitonio is the highest-ranked left guard on this list but his OVR should be even higher. He's been to the last five Pro Bowls in a row and blocks for Nick Chubb who happily runs through the gaps that Bitonio creates.

The Browns weren't very impressive last year despite having top-rated players at wide receiver, running back, quarterback, and a stout defense. If Cleveland can get this ironed out, expect Bitonio to rise even higher on this list.

7 Jason Kelce - C - 92 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Jason Kelce Preseason Player Rating

Jason Kelce is rated as the best center in the NFL. He's been to the Pro Bowl 6 times and his last 3 appearances have been consecutive, so he's playing at his highest level for an Eagles team that loves to run up the gut.

The best safeties around like to blitz up the middle but teams know better than to do that in Philadelphia. Kelce's intelligence and ability to sniff out the blitz is unrivaled. If the rest of the team continues, to perform, he's ready to win another Super Bowl.

6 Andrew Thomas - LT - 92 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Andrew Thomas Preseason Player Rating

Coming off of a surgery on his foot, many were worried about how Andrew Thomas would adjust to the league. But 2022 was his best season yet and he played a huge role in the Giants taking a colossal leap forward after years of mediocrity.

Going against the best defensive linemen and linebackers, Thomas is fearless, setting up lanes for Barkley and giving Jones plenty of time to throw. If New York continues to improve, Thomas should be considered a cornerstone to make a deeper playoff run next year.

5 Chris Lindstrom - RG - 93 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Chris Lindstrom Preseason Player Rating

Making it to his first Pro Bowl, Lindstrom has taken steps forward every year as a player. Although Mariota struggled at quarterback, Lindstrom gave him some breathing room up the middle and greatly assisted in the running game.

When Madden NFL 24 was initially revealed, gamers might not have thought to use the Atlanta Falcons. But for running backs that like to go between the tackles and quarterbacks that like a clean throwing lane over the middle, there are few better options.

4 Laremy Tunsil - LT - 95 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Laremy Tunsil Preseason Player Rating

Saying something good about the Texans isn't easy. But Laremy Tunsil, their three-time Pro Bowler, is absolutely incredible. This may seem small but a franchise-caliber blind side tackle is actually a significant cornerstone.

Guessing who the top-rated players might be is tough but many acknowledge that Tunsil is deserving of the recognition that he gets. It's hard to stand out as an offensive lineman for a team in turmoil but he manages to do it all the same. With some progress from Houston, Tunsil's OVR could even increase.

3 Trent Williams - LT - 98 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Trent Williams Preseason Player Rating

In the last 11 years, Trent Williams has been a Pro Bowler in ten of them. It's no wonder that he's the top-rated left tackle in the game. When the 49ers saw their starting quarterbacks get injured and knocked out, it's safe to say the backups played better than most others because Williams was locking down the blind side.

As Madden considers skipping a year, gamers might have thought that the 49ers would have skipped a year with injury issues. But Williams turns even the worst teams into contenders as he eats up the league's most elite pass rushers with ease.

2 Lane Johnson - RT - 98 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Lane Johnson Preseason Player Rating

As the highest-rated right tackle in the game, Lane Johnson is a veteran who is playing even better at the back half of his career. A former Super Bowl champion and current Pro Bowler, Johnson was key to an Eagles team that made it to the Super Bowl.

Lane Johnson set a record by not allowing a sack in 26 consecutive games. That's over a season and a half of zero sacks given up. As gamers consider who the next cover athlete might be, Johnsons deserves to be honored among the best.

1 Zack Martin - RG - 99 OVR

Madden NFL 24 Zack Martin Preseason Player Rating

If anybody were to be the next 99 OVR offensive linemen, there are few more deserving than Zack Martin. Ever wonder why the Cowboys' backup running back who only started 4 games last year broke 1,000 yards? Tony Pollard is indeed one of the best running backs in the league, but his blockers deserve more than just a small tip of the hat.

Martin has been to the Pro Bowl 8 times, including each of the last two years. Now playing better than ever, he's finally getting recognized as not only the best guard in the league but the best overall offensive lineman as well with a well-earned 99 OVR.

Madden NFL 24 will be released on August 18th, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
