Whether they're hated or loved, played with, or ignored in Madden NFL 23, it's clear that the Dallas Cowboys are one of the most famous and well-known teams in all of the NFL. This is made clear by both the amount in which this team is searched on Google and its overall valuation, coming in as the most valuable team in the NFL.

Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones take pride in owning the Dallas Cowboys, and they roster a pretty solid team in Madden NFL 23. Those looking to seize control of the team and possibly deliver another Super Bowl to the self-proclaimed "America's Team" will probably want to know what they're working with.

8 Trevon Diggs, CB (84)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys Trevon Diggs

Watching a cornerback haul in 11 interceptions in a single season is worth celebrating no matter what. Contextually though, Trevon Diggs' 2021 season wasn't as dominant as the interception number would lead one to believe. He also happened to be near the top of the league for yards allowed, due to teams taking advantage of his aggressive approach.

This isn't to discount the talent and potential of the 84 overall Dallas Cowboys cornerback, but in order for him to garner respect and take the leap toward an elite-level defensive back, he'll have to match his takeaway and coverage skills harmoniously.

7 CeeDee Lamb, WR (85)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys CeeDee Lamb

With Amari Cooper now catching footballs in Ohio as a member of the Cleveland Browns, the Dallas Cowboys are looking for CeeDee Lamb to blossom as the true number one receiver in the blue and silver. He's shown his ability to create separation and has dynamic yard after catch potential, but he'll need to put it all together in 2022.

An 85 overall in Madden 23 feels low for Lamb's diehard fans, but if he lives up to what is believed to be his potential, he'll find himself in the 90s in the coming years. The relationship between him and quarterback Dak Prescott will be pivotal in terms of how far the Cowboys can go in 2022 and beyond.

6 Ezekiel Elliott, RB (88)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys Zeke Elliott

Depending on who's asked, Ezekiel Elliott is either primed for a huge year in 2022 or he's washed up and will lose playing time to backup running back Tony Pollard. Whether it was his natural talent, elite-level offensive line, or both, Elliott has managed to have a rather impressive run over his first six seasons in the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys recently paid him a contract that they need to prove was worth it, so the likelihood that the 88 overall back exceeds his 1,000 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns from a season ago isn't too shocking of an outcome.

5 Micah Parsons, ROLB (88)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys Micah Parsons

Micah Parsons exploded onto the scene in 2021 as one of the most dynamic and electric defensive rookies the league has seen in quite some time. He managed to showcase elite potential as both a pass-rusher and an off-ball linebacker and simply produced wherever the Dallas Cowboys needed him on any given Sunday.

An 88 overall may seem high for a second-year player, but Parsons put the league on notice. Barring injury, he's likely to take another leap in 2022 and will be vying for the Defensive Player of the Year Award to place on his shelf next to the Defensive Rookie of the Year honor he ran away with following his rookie campaign in the blue and silver.

4 Dak Prescott, QB (89)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott is an enigma among both Dallas Cowboys fans and NFL fans in general. Some consider the 29-year-old to be a Top 10 quarterback in the league, while others feel his stats are inflated due to the talent the organization surrounded him with.

Throwing for 37 passing touchdowns isn't an easy feat, but Prescott will likely always be a player whose career will be the subject of hot takes and debates. Based on the production he displayed in 2021, an overall of 89 seems more than fair for Prescott, and if he happens to repeat it without the likes of his former number one wideout and starting left tackle, it might come with some added respect from the general NFL fandom.

3 DeMarcus Lawrence, LE (90)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys Demarcus Lawrence

Once considered a superstar NFL pass-rusher, DeMarcus Lawrence is coming off of two underperforming seasons, followed by a year cut short due to injury. With back-to-back seasons of 10+ sacks in 2017 and 2018, it's clear Lawrence is capable of being a disruptive pass-rusher.

The Dallas Cowboys will need him to return to form if they plan on their defense being formidable in 2022, and it's likely the only way Lawrence maintains a 90 overall in Madden 24 or other future entries in the series.

2 Tyron Smith, LT (95)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys Tyron Smith

Tyron Smith, despite his age, is undoubtedly one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL. His 95 overall in Madden 23 also means that he's one of the best linemen in the entirety of the game. Recently it was revealed that the USC product would miss most of the 2022 NFL season due to a serious lower leg injury.

As Smith approaches 32 years of age, the injuries have begun piling on for the perennial Pro Bowler. He entered the league in 2011 at the age of 21 years old and has maintained a level of play in which he is considered one of the league's best and most respected left tackles year in and year out.

1 Zack Martin, RG (98)

Madden 23 Best Ratings Dallas Cowboys Zack Martin

Zack Martin still stands as arguably the best guard in the NFL and has showcased a versatility to play either guard or tackle position at an All-Pro level. It seems like only yesterday Martin was drafted out of Notre Dame to wear the Dallas Cowboys uniform, but he'll be entering his ninth season in the league in 2022.

The recent injury to left tackle Tyron Smith means Martin will be leaned on even more to take control of the Cowboys' offensive line, but if anyone was skilled and respected enough to do it, it would be the 7x Pro Bowler and 5x All-Pro from Indianapolis, Indiana, who stands at a 98 overall in Madden 23.

Madden NFL 23 is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
