Next Level Games is a developer that has been working alongside Nintendo for over 15 years now, working on mostly exclusive award-winning titles. The team has put out some standout titles such as Luigi's Mansion 3, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Punch-Out!! (Wii), and the Mario Strikers series. Recently, the company was officially acquired by Nintendo, and the former independent team will now be solely working on exclusive titles for Nintendo's platforms.

The deal doesn't go through until March 1st of this year, but the partnership makes total sense since these two companies have been working side-by-side for such a long time now. Next Level Games nor Nintendo have yet to reveal what the studio's next project is going to be, but the team has reportedly started to go on a hiring spree to bring new employees to their team to help with the next game.

Twitter user SammyChanSonic1 tweeted out images of the studio's recent job postings on LinkedIn and Glassdoor. Next Level Games is currently on the search for a Tools Engineer, a Producer, a UI artist, and an Art Production Manager. The job listings themselves don't give away too much specific information on what the team is staffing for, but it's likely for the team's next Switch game.

This isn't anything to be shocked about or a cause for concern. Now that Next Level Games is under Nintendo's umbrella, the team probably has a bigger budget than ever before to put out a standout exclusive Nintendo title. As to what this unannounced game is, it could be a number of things honestly. The team could be working on a fourth Luigi's Mansion game, a sequel to Mario Strikers Charged, a new Punch-Out!! game, or possibly even a brand-new IP (intellectual property).

Considering that Luigi's Mansion 3 was released about a year and a half ago, Next Level Games' next title could be further along than fans think. Followers of this studio's titles will just have to wait and see what happens next.

Next Level Games' most recent title was Luigi's Mansion 3, which was released in late 2019 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. In Game ZXC's scored review for Luigi's Mansion 3, the title was praised for its enjoyable cooperative play, its engaging interactive environments, and overall fun factor. The game is also sitting at a lovely overall score of 86 on Metacritic, which isn't too shabby.
