Players of the Nintendo Switch don't have long to wait until they can get their hands on Luigi's Mansion 3. With just over a week until the release of the game, Nintendo have released footage of ScreamPark mode. The mode will surely attract comparisons to Super Mario Party. Yet, there is plenty of originality in what is being offered to players through various modes.

When Luigi's Mansion was originally released, in 2001, it sparked a franchise that has been successful, despite being in the shadow of Mario. The action-adventure games have been unmistakably Nintendo because of the gameplay, not just the titular character. The new iteration of the game brings in 3D play and is set in a hotel, despite the title of the game. It has also been revealed that Simon and Richter Belmont from the Castlevania series will be available to play in the game.

The ScreamPark video shows three mini-games. There is Ghost Hunt, Cannon Barrage, and Coin Floating available to play in the mode. It does appear that there are more games in the mode. The co-op games facilitate up to 8 players in a 4v4 format. The games look to have the desired effect of chaotic gameplay, combined with teamwork. Not only do the mini-games look great, but Luigi's Mansion 3 will have multiplayer mode paid DLC for players who are impressed by the experience.

The video captures the excitement of playing the game with friends and for some, it may be purchased with Halloween parties to come in mind. Luigi's Mansion 3 has already revealed a number of new levels, and it looks like players will have plenty to explore. Chasing ghosts with Polterpup will be entertaining enough but with ScreamPark in mind, it looks like the new game will build significantly on Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

With added features, varied multi-player games and a 3-D format, Luigi's Mansion 3 is set to impress. It is little surprise that Luigi's Mansion 3 is one of the biggest Switch games of the year. There are very few games that can encourage local co-op in a spooky setting, without haunting players for the rest of the hallowed season. Yet, Luigi's Mansion 3 ScreamPark looks to do that with an array of mini-games for players to argue over.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is releasing on October 31, 2019, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
