Loungefly, a lifestyle brand acquired by Funko in 2017, collaborates with DreamWorks to release its first-ever Shrek collection. Known for its fan-forward lifestyle products, Loungefly has been a reliable source of collectible fashion for fans of major franchises such as Disney, Hello Kitty, Harry Potter, Pokemon, Marvel, Star Wars, Peanuts, and now, Shrek.

The first-ever Loungefly x Shrek collab features a mini backpack that will retail for $90 and a wallet for $40. The mini backpack features the iconic duo of Shrek and Donkey and is designed using the stacked character cosplay style. According to Loungefly, the stacked character cosplay style, also called a "buddy bag" because it usually features two character friends together, is the company's most popular style. The rear side of the backpack features Shrek and Donkey doing a high-five alongside a famous quote from the movie, "That'll do, Donkey... That'll do."

On the other hand, the Shrek-themed wallet only features the titular character. However, its design complements the mini backpack well, making both items perfect collectibles for Shrek fans. While the Loungefly x Shrek announcement only revealed the mini backpack and wallet, other products would likely join the lineup soon. It is worth remembering that apart from backpacks, Loungefly also makes totes, crossbody bags, collectible enamel pins, and other accessories such as keychains, bag straps, and lanyards.

The Loungefly x Shrek collection will be available exclusively on Loungefly.com. Apart from just featuring characters from iconic film franchises, Loungefly takes pride in the quality of its products, which it claims are crafted with care and precision. Starting its operations from a small warehouse in 1998, Loungefly has become one of the most popular fan-focused accessories makers with a vision to provide fans with products and accessories that tell "wearable stories."

Although it has been 11 years since DreamWorks released a film under the Shrek franchise, it is without a doubt that the cranky yet lovable ogre remains relevant in pop culture today. Luckily for fans, DreamWorks just released the trailer for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish a week ago, which would serve as the sequel to 2011's Puss in Boots. Although the upcoming film shouldn't be considered Shrek 5, it is still exciting to see the adventures that Puss will embark on in the forthcoming movie, which could eventually lead to the proper return of the leading franchise featuring Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona.

The Loungefly x Shrek Collection is coming very soon, exclusively to Loungefly.com. Follow @loungefly on social media for updates
