Yorn, the land of the Umar (AKA Dwarves) of Lost Ark, was built entirely underground. It's a classic idea for Dwarves in fiction, the old "dwarves live in the mountains, elves in the trees" trope, but it's still a joy to see, nonetheless. And the Umar are pretty interesting as well, using machinery and innovation to overcome the barren wasteland that is their country to mine and facet all the minerals, Ability Stones, and Gems they find. Yorn is the continent players sail to after leaving the Slyvain in Rohendel, and it's also where they'll make significant progress in their Tier 2 Gear Honing.

That said, as interesting as Yorn is, Lost Ark is still an MMORPG, and the race to get to the highest level of content, Skill Points, and Gear is unforgiving. So, players are probably wondering how long they'll be stuck in Yorn's main story quest, skipping cutscenes and blitzing through expertly crafted dialogue. Let's take a look at how many quests there are exactly, and how long it should take the average player to beat them.

Yorn actually has a fair bit more separated Quests than other regions, even though It's not much longer if any longer at all. There are a total of 43 different main story quests in the Umar country, as well as two dungeons, and even a musical number. Yorn also has the unfortunate fate of being the second of three regions where players spend their time as a Tier 2 Hero, so it tends to get put on the sidelines compared to Rohendel and Feiton.

How Bad Are The Dungeons?

As with all the other Regions, players are probably wondering how much of their time in Yorn is going to be spent climbing through a painfully long Dungeon of negligible mobs as they had to do in places like Tortoyk or even North Vern. Well, Yorn has just two Dungeons: the Wonderful Brewery and the Ark of Arrogance.

One of those sounds a whole lot more pleasant than the other, doesn't it? Funnily enough, it's actually the Wonderful Brewery that is more tedious to get through than the Ark of Arrogance, but both of these Dungeons are pretty tame overall.

  • Wonderful Brewery: An oddball Dungeon to be sure that involves getting drunk, mistakenly chasing after some "chickens," running through a brewery, riding through the pipes to the storage house, and finally taking out the Mesmerizing Commander Kyzra. All in all, about a 15-minute journey for the standard player.
  • Ark of Arrogance: This is the Dungeon that eventually leads to the Chosen Hero (the player character) getting the next fragment of the Ark as they also stop the demon Velcruze. This Dungeon has some unique mechanics, a fair amount of cutscenes, some climbing sections, and a lot of walking, and should take the standard player anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

How Much Time Does It Take To Get Through?

After exploring everything Yorn has to offer, it's time to finally move on to Feiton, the land of the Delain. So, how long does it take the usual Lost Ark player to get through the Dwarven Kingdom's storyline? Well, on average it's a bit longer than something like Punika, coming in at around 2 to 2 and a half hours total.

The upper range of this includes the side quests as well, of which there aren't a whole ton of compared to some other regions in the game. It's a shame that the patch that nerfed a bit of the endgame didn't also nerf how long some of these regions take. Now that this info is out there, it's up to each individual player to decide if this continent is worth using Knowledge Transfer to skip or not, though most tend to just use it for Vern and maybe Feiton at best.

Lost Ark is available on PC via Steam.
