Lost Ark will soon be kicking off its crossover event featuring characters from The Witcher, introducing a limited-time quest series that takes players to a new island. For the duration of the event, Lost Ark players will be able to get their hands on all sorts of Witcher-themed items as quest rewards and from a new round of Twitch Drops.

Amazon Games' Lost Ark was one of 2022's biggest releases, rapidly pulling record numbers of players as the highly anticipated adaptation of a popular Korean MMORPG was finally brought to western audiences. The game's free-to-play model, addicting combat, and massive world to explore attracted droves of players, although issues with bots and grinding have somewhat curved that growth. Since the game is a hybrid Diablo-like action RPG and traditional MMORPG, it relies on regular content updates, events, and seasonal festivities to keep the game world fresh for its players.

A Lost Ark and Witcher crossover was announced last year, and it's finally arriving in an update on January 18 and will run until February 22. Players will get to visit White Wolf Haven Island where a vortex has appeared, leading to a series of quests with Witcher characters like Geralt, Ciri, Dandelion, Yennefer, and Triss as they unravel the island's mystery. The event will feature a main storyline along with a variety of side quests, but players must have first completed the Set Sail! main story quest in order to sail to the island.

The Witcher crossover with Lost Ark will reward various Witcher-themed items such as Witcher Potions, Jukebox songs, a new Witcher-themed Card Set, a stronghold structure, emoticons, and a title. Additionally, players can grab Witcher-themed cosmetics from the in-game store ranging from outfits to hairstyles and weapon skins. Meanwhile, Twitch Drops will be rewarding Mokoko skins to Twitch viewers. Players can unlock the event by speaking to the Guild Investigator in most major cities, and they can also use the Ocean Liner to quickly travel to White Wolf Haven Island to make the questing go more smoothly.

The January update for Lost Ark will also be bringing plenty of other changes besides the crossover event. Improvements to quests and Una's Tasks, material exchange, along with the option to favorite preferred engravings will also come with the update. As usual with Lost Ark updates, some quality-of-life improvements to the guild system and other aspects of the game will undoubtedly bring in a little extra polish.
