Lost Ark adds another layer to character building once players reach levels beyond 50 and enter T1 content. Engravings are introduced at this stage of the game, adding additional features and buffs. There are three primary categories of Engravings: Class Engravings, damage boosts, and utility buffs. Class Engravings are specific to the Class they are made for, while the other two options can be used for any Class without limitations.

Players will collect Engravings from books they earn by completing difficult challenges. Some can also be purchased. Upgrading them will also require extensive work to collect a specific number of Books or Recipes for that type of Engraving. However, the effort will be greatly rewarded when the Engravings are maxed out to level 3. Players are limited on how many they can equip, so they must decide wisely. Here's a look at the best Engravings in Lost Ark.

9 Grudge

a Striker in Lost Ark

Players should note that Grudge is not an efficient Engraving choice for the beginning of the game due to the 20% increase in the damage they will take when equipping it. It is meant more for when they have reached at least level 3 and have gained experience in avoiding hard hits from enemies. However, many players love it for the increase in damage it causes to the more powerful enemies and bosses.

At its base level, it increases the damage inflicted on bosses and above by 4%. At level 2, the increase is 10%, while at level 3, the increase is 20%. This boost in damage can make an extreme difference in battle if the player is prepared to handle the downside of this Engraving.

8 Cursed Doll

a Soulfist in Lost Ark

Cursed Doll is not recommended for players just starting out. It has the drawback of decreasing healing when equipped, which could result in a newer player succumbing to enemies more quickly. Because of this, players should wait until at least level 3 to give this Engraving a try for its excellent benefits.

At level 1, Attack Power is increased by 3%. At level 2, it is increased by 6%, and at level 3, it increased by 18%. This boost in Attack Power can mean gaining the upper hand in a Raid, which makes this Engraving worthwhile once the player has become equipped to handle the 25% decrease in healing.

7 Keen Blunt Weapon

A Sorceress in Lost Ark

The Keen Blunt Weapon Engraving is an excellent choice for increasing the player's Crit Rate, but at the same time, it creates a 10% chance for inflicting decreased damage at -20%. If the player's chosen character has a lot of high Crit Rate skills, this Engraving is a perfect choice.

At its first level, it increases Crit Damage by 10%. At its second level, it increased by 25%, and at its third level, it increased by 50%. This Engraving can make the player a force to be reckoned with when fighting strong bosses or completing Raids.

6 Raid Captain

a Bard in Lost Ark

The Raid Captain Engraving is an excellent choice for the player seeking a damage boost. It increases damage based on the Move Speed Bonus they currently have active. So, if the player has a bonus active, this skill can be highly beneficial.

At level 1, their damage will increase by 10% of the Move Speed Bonus. At level 2, the increase is 22%. At level 3, the increase is 45%. Move Speed has a cap of 140%, so the maximum bonuses will be +4%/+8.8%/+18%.

5 Adrenaline

a Gunslinger in Lost Ark

The Adrenaline Engraving increases the player's Attack Power for 6 seconds, and the effect is stackable. Following the use of skills, Attack Power will increase by 0.3% at level 1, 0.6% at level 2, and 1% at level 3. At the maximum of 6 stacks, this increases to 1.8% at level 1, 3.6% at level 2, and 6% at level 3.

This Engraving will also boost the Crit Rate. When the player stacks it 6 times, the Crit Rate receives a 5% boost at level 1, 10% at level 2, and 15% at level 3. Cooldown reduction caused by skill cancel can be applied, but it will take effect at the completion of the skill. This Engraving is most effective for skills with low Crit Rates.

4 Awakening

a Deathblade in Lost Ark

The Awakening Engraving is helpful for those players who need to reuse their Awakening Skills quickly. It reduces cooldown time and, with each level, increases the number of times it can be used.

At level 1, it decreases the cooldown time by 10% and can be used once. At level 2, cooldown time is reduced by 25% and can be used twice. At level 3, cooldown time is reduced by 50%, and the engraving can be used three times. This can be especially helpful during a Raid or high-ranking quest.

3 Barricade

a Shadowhunter in Lost Ark

The Barricade Engraving is effective for players when taking a defensive stance. It will boost the damage they inflict while they are shielded, making them more dangerous while protected.

At its base level, it increases damage by 3%. At the second level, the damage is increased by 8%. At the third level, the damage increase is 16%. When players need to take a more defensive form, this Engraving is ideal for helping them continue to defeat their enemies.

2 Ambush Master

an Artillerist in Lost Ark

The Ambush Master Engraving is ideal for players who enjoy performing back attacks. When the attack is successful, this Engraving will increase the damage inflicted on the enemies.

The first level increases damage by 5%. The second level has a damage increase of 12%. The third level has a 25% damage increase. For players who are incredibly stealthy and successful with back attacks, this is the best Engraving to have.

1 Spirit Absorption

a Berserker in Lost Ark

For a double stat boost, the Spirit Absorption Engraving delivers well. It offers players an increase in Attack Speed and Move Speed at the same time.

At its basic level, it increases both stats by 3%. At level 2, it increases them by 8%. At level 3, the increase is 15%. Having this Engraving equipped can make players more successful in battle with quicker movements.
