This guide will help players solve all 20 shortcut puzzles in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, which appear in S.C. Bolt's Number Puzzles Volume 1.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes: Supercomputer User Name

In order to determine the User Name that is to be entered into the Supercomputer, players must do the following:

• Organize All Magic Posters: There are five Shredded Posters, which are represented by scissors on the in-game maps, that players must reorganize. The goal of this reorganization is to configure the posters so that they look like the images that are below. Notably, the red runes that are on the Magic Posters vary across playthroughs, though the background images will always look the same when properly configured.

• Obtain All Messages from the Past: All five Safe puzzles in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes award a Computer Disc when solved, and each of those discs holds a puzzle that can be accessed by loading the files on any in-game computer. Upon solving a Computer Disc puzzle, players will receive a Message from the Past, which will be added to the "Messages from the Past" section within the Photographic Memory menu.

After completing those steps, players should read the Messages from the Past carefully, writing down the actions that they describe and the "ancient runes" that are connected to those actions. For example, if a Message from the Past connected "I stare into my crystal sphere" to "E," players should write down "E = crystal sphere" before moving on to the next message.

Once a player has recorded all five connections, they should write down "LORELEI" and then translate that name into a string comprised of the associated actions. To continue with the previous example, all instances of "E" would be replaced with "crystal sphere," and players will have translated LORELEI into a list of seven actions when the process is complete.

Fans of hard puzzle games must now convert those actions into the red runes that appear on the Magic Posters. For the sake of full clarity, here are the connections between the Magic Posters and the actions that are described in the Messages from the Past:

• From my hat there are cards = Playing cards
• I stare into my crystal sphere = Crystal ball
• I reach for a bottle of my miracle tears = Vermillion tears
• I am chained like a prisoner = Escape artist

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes: Supercomputer Password

To learn the Supercomputer's password, players must reach the center of the Quiz Club Maze, pass through the mirror, and visit the Exhibition area. Reaching that area is the culmination of solving many of the most complex puzzles in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, and here is an overview that may help players who are stuck:

• Collect all the Script Pages to obtain the Right Eye.
• Solve all the Catacomb puzzles to obtain the Left Eye.
• Solve all the Bug Report puzzles in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. Each Bug Report details three methods for achieving software crashes and connects those methods to Greek letters (Gamma, Delta, Theta, etc.).
• Follow the instructions in the Bug Reports to crash the software in the three Gaming Rooms. Each crash will generate a Software Error that contains a highlighted three-character string.
• Connect the three-character strings to the Greek letters. For example, if a method with ID Gamma led to a software error with the character string AE8, then Gamma = AE8.

• Use those connections to enter the center of the Red Maze.
• Use the Maze Slabs on the Gravestone to get under the Red Maze.
• Navigate to the Minotaur, insert the Left and Right Eyes into the Statues, and use the connections that were made previously to translate the Minotaur's message into Greek letters.
• Use that translation to enter the center of the Quiz Club Maze.

After passing through the mirror at the center of the Quiz Club Maze, and navigating to the Exhibitions area, players will find three rooms. The puzzles in those rooms reveal the three symbols that serve as the Supercomputer's password, and here is how fans of mystery games should address them:

1. Draw a three-by-three grid of squares on a piece of paper.
2. Position the player character in the top-left black square on the ground.
3. If standing in that position causes the player character to appear in a red square on the wall, mark that position on the piece of paper.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 with the remaining eight black squares to create the symbol.

Once a player has determined the three symbols, and the order in which they are to be entered, they can press those symbols on the Supercomputer's second keyboard, hit the return key, and continue to the next section.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes: Supercomputer Memory Sequence

The final section of the supercomputer puzzle requires players to set nine switches to "1847," "1963," or "2014," and here are details on how to determine which number should be selected:

• Listen to the old woman in Room 2014, and write down the nine phrases that she utters.
• Solve all the Puzzle Boxes in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes.
• Read the documents inside the Puzzle Boxes. Each document reveals a word that serves as a suitable response to one of the old woman's phrases.
• Say those words to the old woman to receive nine Visions (dated 1932, 1938, 1948, 1953, 1957, 1960, 1962, 1973, and 1982).
• Solve the Visions. The solutions are as follows:

• Solution: 2014. This solution is determined by counting the squares that fit underneath the line in each bar, if such a line appears.

• Solution: 1847. Each symbol is formed from a number that has been moved around a circle. This may be seen most easily by observing the lines that extend downward and to the left.

• Solution: 1847. This solution is determined by counting the lines that are used to create each symbol.

• Solution: 1963. This solution is determined by counting the intersections between vertical and horizontal lines in each symbol.
