Invading other players' worlds is a basic soulslike mechanic that players can perform in Lords of the Fallen. The process is simple as there’s no special equipment needed.
Defeating fellow lampbearers in their own world will reward players with a unique item that can be used at the shrine in Lords of the Fallen. It’s also possible to prevent any invasion and Crimson Ritual if players buy an item from certain merchants in the game.

Lords of the Fallen: How to Get Minor Fire Salts
Minor Fire Salts can be used to upgrade weapons in Lords of the Fallen. For players unsure of where to find any, this guide provides the answer.
How To Invade Other Players In Lords Of The Fallen
To invade other lampbearers, players must first unlock a Vestige checkpoint in Lords of the Fallen. The first Vestige is encountered in the tutorial area, The Abandoned Redcopse, before the Holy Bulwark Otto boss. Upon resting at the Vestige, there will be many options, including Multiplayer. Choose it and scroll down to the Slaughter lampbearer option to start matchmaking. A countdown will start and players will be transported into the host’s world.
It’s safe to say that players can only invade other lampbearers with the same level or lower. Those with higher levels than the invader won’t be an option. The same thing can be said for the area. If it’s an undiscovered area, the matchmaking won’t happen but will take the invader to an explored area.
Once players invade another lampbearer and defeat them, Severed Hands will be rewarded to the winner. This special item works in a similar sense to the Plucked Eyeball after avenging another lampbearer.
To prevent Invasion, players can use the Mirror of Protection which protects players from the Crimson Ritual (being invaded) for a period of time. The Mirror is available for purchase at many merchants in Lords of the Fallen, including Exacter Dunmire, Stomund Captain of the Fidelis, Molhu, and Thehk-Ihir.
Where To Use The Severed Hands In Lords Of The Fallen
The Severed Hands can be donated to the Shrine of Adyr, which can be found near the Vestige of Betrayed Eliard in Fitzroy's Gorge. Approach the throne emitting a red aura and interact with it to enter the shop.
The shop is shared between all lampbearers as each one can donate Severed Hands to unlock more tiers, thus unlocking more items. The available items are:
