The official Loki season 2 trailer already featured a callout to the fast food giant, but things got more interesting when they put out a teaser video promising a surprise for all Loki fans on August 14. The surprise, however, might already be ruined after a McDonald's employee leaked what the collaboration consisted of in a TikTok video.
Many big Hollywood projects have collaborated with McDonald's in the past, including some Marvel Studios films. Loki is the latest project to join the trend, with Tom Hiddleston's hit series seemingly getting its own McDonald's sauce. It will only add to the hype of the already popular series, with many fans waiting to see how Loki and Sylvie's journey will continue in the second season.
McDonald's shared a post on Twitter that read “no spoilers” and was accompanied by a video that consisted of clips from popular films and TV shows that have referenced McDonald's in the past. The clips are from Seinfeld, Fifth Element, The Devil is a Part-Timer!, The Office, and Coming to America. The final shot is from Loki Season 2, which fans have already seen in the official trailer. Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie is seen working as an employee at the fast food restaurant, and Loki is seemingly a customer. McDonald's shared another image following the video that reads, “Opening 8.14.23.” The restaurant's iconic golden arches are visible on a brown bag, which reads, “as featured in.”

The individual seems to be a manager at a McDonald's store in the US, and she shared a behind-the-scenes video of boxes of sweet and sour sauce arriving at her store. The green label of the popular condiment reads, “as featured in Marvel Studios' Loki.” The label matches the teaser that the fast food giant released, indicating that the sauce will be mentioned in the series. Perhaps Loki will discover the sauce when he places an order at the restaurant during a conversation with Sylvie.
Loki season 2 will arrive on Disney Plus within two months, and fans have several questions. The Multiverse was teased in Loki season 1 but is now a well-established concept in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will play a role in Loki's journey forward.
