  • Detachable boom microphone
  • Wireless USB Dongle
  • USB-C Charging cable
  • Quick start guide

The G733 comes in a very well-packaged box, with not much else besides the headset itself. This is quite nice; gamers don't need a lot to get this headset up and running. The only disappointing part was that the USB-C charging cable is not color-matched to the headset colorway like the dongle is, but with how infrequently this headset needs to be charged, it isn't a huge downside.

Presentation and Design

The Logitech G733 is clearly not the typical gaming headset, especially in this Lilac colorway. Logitech has incredible and unique designs with most of its products, and the G733 is a prime example of this. From the unique colorways to the way the headband adjusts, the G733 has a look of its own, and that look is fantastic. This headset is lightweight, weighing in at 278 grams, but it feels incredibly solid. The main body of the headset has a good amount of flex, so even when gamers are kind of rough with it, there is no concern for it breaking.

The Best Gaming Headsets in 2024

The best gaming headsets come with tons of features for every type of gamer. This guide will you decided which gaming headset is the best for you.

Instead of relying solely on RGB for the fun colors, the G733 sports two strips of RGB lighting on the front of both earcups, giving a fun detail to customize without going overboard. Gamers with glasses should be aware that the RGB light strips can cause some glare. Besides the lilac colorway, gamers can get the G733 in black, white, and blue. Each colorway has an elastic headband that fits the colorway, but users can also pick up different colors to customize their headset. The earcup pads are also easily replaceable, either to change out the color or just replace pads that have reached the end of their life.

The amount of replacement and alternate parts that Logitech offers for the G733 is fantastic to see. These items being available makes it much more sustainable. There is no need to buy a new headset when the earcup pads lose their padding.

Comfort

Despite the limited adjustability, the G733 is incredibly comfortable. The elastic headband is the only way to adjust the size of the headset, and there are only two options, but despite this, the headset can conform to a variety of head sizes quite easily. That is mainly thanks to the flexibility of the plastic headband and how much clamping force the elastic headband creates. It's almost like the headset auto-adjusts to the user's head size as they put it on.

The earcups are padded with a mesh liner, making it easy to stay cool, even for gamers who get sweaty. The drivers sit fairly far back within the earcups, so most gamers' ears won't be touching the actual driver, which tends to create a lot of discomfort. The shape of the earcups is not the typical perfectly round design that it is with most over-ear headsets; instead, it is more rectangular. This shape might seem a little weird at first, but it actually helps out a lot with the overall comfort of the G733. After wearing the G733 for the last couple of weeks, circular earcups feel slightly more constricting.

Sound Quality

Sound quality-wise, the G733 is not the most powerful headset on the market, but it does still have pretty phenomenal sound. Gunshots are impactful in games like Apex Legends, and it is easy to hear opponents move around. In more casual games like Sable, all the sound effects are very immersive, and the soundtrack sounds absolutely amazing.

Best Logitech Gaming Headsets of 2024

Logitech has an impressive array of headsets, including both wired and wireless options. But which Logitech gaming headset is the best?

The advertised frequency range is from 100Hz to 10KH, but after some testing, the G733 actually goes all the way up to 14KHz. Down at the bottom of the range, it maxes out around 20Hz. Compared to audiophile headphones, this range is kind of narrow, but in real-world listening tests, there was very little difference.

While listening to music, the bass does not overpower the mids or highs at all. It sounds very balanced and reasonably accurate. Regardless of the genre, the G733 performs excellently, although fans of a heavier bass sound might be disappointed by the out-of-box sound. The EQ can be tweaked using Logitech's G Hub software.

Microphone Clarity

A good microphone makes any gaming headset so much better. No one likes the person in the Discord chat who has a bad-sounding mic. Luckily, the boom mic on the Logitech G733 has an excellent quality microphone. It doesn't have the same quality as a dedicated microphone, but as far as headset mics go, the G733 is accurate regardless of the user's pitch. In some scenarios, this mic does sound a little tinny and thin; however, it is perfect for hanging out on Discord calls. For gamers who want to stream or have a microphone for recording, the G733 might be a little lacking.

Using Logitech G Hub, users can add filters to the mic with Blue Vo!ce (yes, this is how Logitech stylizes the feature). These are fun to use every so often, but for long-term use, the filter can get a bit annoying to listen to.

Logitech G Hub Software

Logitech G Hub is not the most comprehensive software, but it lets gamers control a lot without being overbearing with constant notifications like other software. The layout is straightforward to navigate through, and the installation process is very easy.

Inside the software, gamers can control the sound profile. There is no manual EQ, but the presets Logitech provides span a pretty wide variety of use cases, and they all sound pretty good. The microphone settings can be changed; unlike the sound profiles, users can adjust the EQ manually with three bands. Finally, RGB lighting can be customized with a couple of different profiles to choose from, and it can even match the screen colors, which provides a very immersive effect.

Overall Thoughts

The Logitech G733 Lightspeed headset is an excellent gaming headset that stands out from the crowd with its incredible sound quality. Thanks to Lightspeed wireless technology, it has one of the most stable wireless connections for a headset. There are certainly headsets with better sound quality and ANC options, but the overall performance and build quality of the Logitech G733 are excellent, and gamers will be hard-pressed to find a headset that has this unique look.
