Zaki is an antagonist in Live a Live's Prehistory chapter, and players will battle him several times before everything is said and done. Some of these fights can prove to be quite difficult, and indeed fans may struggle to bring down this boss. For those players that are having trouble beating Zaki in Live a Live, this guide contains recommendations on how to approach these combat encounters.

Live a Live: How to Beat Zaki

The key to easily defeating Zaki in the first battle, which occurs in the cave of Pogo's tribe, is to spend some time with Live a Live's Prehistory crafting system before it begins. Indeed, putting some good gear on Beru, Gori, and Pogo makes this fight significantly less challenging, and fans may want to consider loading an old save if they have not done that prior to engaging Zaki. That said, it is possible to bring down the boss with little gear by simply spamming Gori's Poop Throw ability and Pogo's Stench Poot ability while maintaining distance.

The second place that players will battle this boss is in a cave just after Pogo is banished by his tribe. This is the fight that is likely to give classic JRPG fans the most trouble, as they may find themselves trying to bring Zaki down with a significantly under-leveled Pogo. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done to overcome that situation, and players that are getting trounced by Zaki in the second fight may need to load an old save and spend some time leveling up in the area immediately prior to the cave.

There is also a character in the top-left corner of this open area that is capable of crafting items, and players that did not gear up their parties in Pogo's cave should spend some time with him. Once that has been done, and Live a Live players have gotten Pogo to around Level 8, they should enter the cave and initiate the fight with Zaki. While fans that have a suitably leveled and geared Pogo can attain victory in this battle using a number of strategies, it is recommended that they simply spam Yum Bite.

With respect to the third fight, it plays out much like the second one, and players that have reached this point should be able to bring down Zaki one final time. In fact, the battle should be the easiest of the bunch, as Pogo will be at an even higher level. Indeed, fans should be able to simply spam their high-damage abilities, healing as needed, and quickly advance to the final parts of this Live a Live chapter.

Live a Live is available now on Switch.
