In many turn-based RPGs in the same vein as Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, it's possible to give a party member abilities they wouldn't normally have access to. This is usually restricted by Class (or Job, in this case), and in the previous game, it wasn't possible to transfer skills to party members from Jobs not assigned to them.

But in Infinite Wealth the Skill Inheritance system lets players do just this. Though each Job in the game has a list of unique abilities and strengths, the Skill Inheritance feature gives players ways to shore up the weaknesses of one particular job. This guide goes over the basics of the system, as well as how to unlock Inherited Skills and Skill Inheritance Slots for more abilities.
What Are Inherited Skills in Infinite Wealth?
Inherited Skills are a new system in Infinite Wealth, one that allows party members to perform abilities that aren't associated with their current job. Skill Inheritance, as its name might suggest, allows a party member to "inherit" some abilities from other Jobs they have leveled in the past.
Each character has six Skill Inheritance slots, five of which can be slotted with any ability, and one that is reserved specifically for Essence skills. For example, if you change Tomizawa's default Cabbie job to a Desperado, he loses his Electricity-based Battery skill. But with Skill Inheritance, Tomi can be a gun-slingin Cowboy with access to a variety of elemental Cabbie abilities. If you want to change a Healer party member to something more damaging without losing out on those useful support abilities, Skill Inheritance lets you do that. But first, the system has to be unlocked.

How To Unlock Skill Inheritance
Skill Inheritance is not something characters start out the game with access to. Instead, you can only use Inherited Skills if a party member's Bond Level is high enough. Each of the six available slots is unlocked at a certain Bond level milestones. At Levels 10, 30, 40, 50, 70 and finally maxed out at 100, party members will unlock each of the six Skill Inheritance slots.
So, when someone joins the Party and has no Bond level, you can't use Skill Inheritance with them. But as you increase your Bond together, that party member can start to use these abilities.
Once you unlock your first slot, head to any Alo-Happy location or booth in Honolulu or back in Japan (right outside Hello Work, for example). In the Alo-Happy main menu, select Skill Inheritance, and then the character you want to modify inherited skills for.
You should see six slots, with locked slots greyed out. Selecting a slot brings up all the skills you have access to from other previously-leveled Jobs. If you change Kasuga's Job from Hero, his default Hero abilities will appear here, and the same goes for anyone else. If you change a character's job more than once, each of the different Jobs they've done before will be listed in separate menus.

You can assign as many abilities from other Jobs as you have slots, but you only have access to the abilities you had unlocked when the Job was swapped. So if you swap Kasuga from being a Hero early, his Personality-based Hero abilities won't be available for Skill Inheritance. It's worth trying out a few different Jobs to find something you like, but don't abandon them too early to be able to take full advantage of this system in the late game.
