When Kasuga and company reach the Anaconda Shopping Center in Chapter 3 of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you will quickly run into the Sujimon Sensei. As it turns out, he has a PC store in Hawaii, which is also where the Sujimon Tournament just happens to take place. The whole Sujimon system got a massive upgrade in Infinite Wealth, going from a collection-based minigame in Yakuza: Like a Dragon to a full-on strategic battler in Infinite Wealth.

In Infinite Wealth, the Personality system represents six traits of Kasuga's personality: Kindness, Style, Passion, Intellect, Confidence, & Charisma.
But before being able to interact with any of these new Sujimon systems, players have to go through the tutorial, and choose a Starter Sujimon. Get to the Anaconda Mall, find the Sujimon Sensei, and progress through his introductory substory to eventually get to the point where you have to choose a Sujimon.
All Three Starter Sujimon & Their Stats
After getting through most of the tutorial, Ichiban will be offered three Starter Sujimon options: Gangpunk Douglas, Grass Snake Franklin, and Jabber Jobber Collins. These three Starter Sujimon each represent one of the three major types – Frost, Nature, and Blaze – but there are two other types not represented. Shadow and Light Sujimon can't be acquired in the tutorial.

The Street Surfer isn't a job Kasuga can get in Infinite Wealth – it's an electric scooter, one that makes getting around Honolulu much faster.
So, Which Is The Best Starter Sujimon?
Your Sujimon selection at this point in the game doesn't matter too much. All three of the basic types are represented, but unlike its pocket monster inspiration, Infinite Wealth Sujimon types are spread out pretty evenly across the game's maps. You won't have to travel far to get Sujimon of the Frost and Blaze types if you choose the Grass Snake Franklin Sujimon, so there's no strategic best starter Sujimon .
If you want to truly min-max the game to its fullest, choose Gangpunk Douglas, the Blue Sujimon (Frost) who starts with the highest Strength stat and the highest overall Level (plus decent HP and Speed stats, too). Though the other two starter Sujimon begin at lower levels, they gain levels really quickly, and will catch up to Gangpunk Douglas fast enough that it really doesn't matter which one you pick first. Ultimately, the best starter Sujimon is the one that calls to you the most. Unlike Pokemon, the advantage of picking one starter over the others are pretty negligible.
