Finding the Sega Master System / SEGA Mark III in Like a Dragon Gaiden
In Chapter 3 of Like a Dragon Gaiden, when Joryu reaches the Daidoji Hideout, he'll discover a room featuring a playable SEGA Mark III (Sega Master System). While Joryu can find game cartridges earlier in the game, they remain unusable until he advances in the story to a point where he can use the console.
To play Sega Master System games in Like a Dragon Gaiden, Joryu needs to go to the hideout's TV stand and interact with the console. This action activates a full-screen mode with several options. Like a Dragon Gaiden’s Sega Master System features both Japanese and International versions of each game, with the former generally being considered the better version of each game due to the Master System Mark III’s superior hardware. Players may also find it interesting to switch to the Japanese version just to experience the console’s unique startup theme.
There’s no need for the oh-so-stylish Sega 3-D Glasses ; the Sega classic title Maze Hunter 3-D is playable in 3-D for players who happen to have a pair of stereoscopic 3-D glasses on hand!
Upon selecting "Select Game" on the Sega Master System console in Like a Dragon Gaiden, a list of all unlockable games appears, with those not yet discovered listed as "????." Joryu can return to the hideout at any time to enjoy a session of Master System gaming.

All Playable Master System Games and Where To Find Them
Like a Dragon Gaiden features 12 playable Sega Master System games. A few titles are available as soon as Joryu gains access to the system, while others need to be unlocked by finding game cartridges in Sotenbori and The Castle.
These cartridges, hidden like other collectibles in the game, can often be retrieved using Joryu’s Spider spy gadget once located, while others are contained in Sotenbori Key Lockers. Once a cartridge is collected, it's added to the Valuables in Joryu’s inventory, automatically unlocking the game as playable on the Master System.
