In Lightyear Frontier, Pine Heights serves as the first region you must restore. It’s a relatively compact area that doesn't need any tool upgrades to restore. Instead, it can be renovated using only two fundamental weapons: The Vacuum and the Hose. Unlocking this region, which situated to the west of the Meadows, accelerates your progression through the story as it harbors most of the essential early-game resources. How to Complete “Restore Pine Heights” Mission

To restore Pine Heights, you must cleanse 100% of the Noxious Slimes. These slimes are identifiable as red areas in the forest, which slow you down when stepped on. To eliminate them, you must pour water on them using your Mech tools. Once every slime is cleaned, Pine Heights will be renovated.

Start With Collecting the Right Tools

To clean the Noxious Slimes, you will need the Vacuum Harvester and Irrigation Hose. The Vacuum allows you to fill the Mech’s tank with water, while the Irrigation Hose enables rinsing. You will find these items by chasing the yellow smokes on the Island, which will lead you to weapon crates.

Find A Water Source

The Irrigation Hose won’t function unless you have a supply of water. To solve this issue, you must look for a lake or pond and refill your Mech’s tank using the Vacuum Harvester. Simply aim your gun at the water and hold RT (right-click on PC).

Cleanse Noxious Slimes

After refilling the water tank, search for Noxious Slimes in Pine Heights. Look for red spots on the ground that slow you down. Cleanse these slimes using the Irrigation Hose to restore the forest. (Shoot water at them.)

If you manage to upgrade the Irrigation Hose, you can store more water. A bigger tank can help you cleanse a larger area before running out of resources.

What Happens After Restoring Pine Heights?

After completing this quest, you will unlock the Pine Heights region on the map. The Restoration also recovers vegetation, fauna, and flora while unlocking one Alien Vault lock. Additionally, you will be able to find new resources in the area, which will help you upgrade your Mech. These upgrades are crucial for unlocking and restoring other regions.
