There are plenty of hidden collectibles to find in Life is Strange. These optional photo opportunities are scattered about each episode, with some requiring Max to make specific decisions, or the chance to take the picture won't appear.

There are 10 Photo collectibles to get in Life is Strange, Episode 5: Polarized. Don't worry if some were missed, as any episode can be repeated from the main menu in "Collectible Mode" to search for missed photo opportunities without affecting previous player choices. Each picture will pop its own Trophy/Achievement, and once all ten have been found, the "Selfie Awareness" Trophy/Achievement will also unlock.

Max must go to Kate in Life is Strange and comfort her first before she can take a photo of her in Mr. Jefferson's Classroom. This must be done during the first time Max rewinds back to this particular point in time. The "Incandescent" Trophy/Achievement will pop once Max takes a picture of Kate.

Once Max has made it to the art gallery, head forward and take a right on the bottom floor. There will be a red-headed woman staring at some pictures down this path, and players can get the second optional photo by looking at the camera beside the woman. This will unlock the "Night Vision" Trophy/Achievement.

Optional Photo Opportunity 3 - Max (The Dark Room)

Players will find themselves back in Jefferson's dark room at a certain point during Max's story in Life is Strange. To get the third optional photo, she actually has to ask Jefferson to take a picture of her. Make sure to do this as soon as possible, as the ability to rewind to this particular dialogue tree gets cut off at a certain point in the scene. After Jefferson takes the picture, players will receive the "Framed" Trophy/Achievement.

Optional Photo Opportunity 4 - Whale (Outside Two Whales Diner)

Before entering the Two Whales diner, look to the left and position Max close to the middle of the dead whale to take the fourth optional photo opportunity. Taking the picture will unlock the "Camera Obscura" Trophy/Achievement.

Optional Photo Opportunity 5 - Car on Roof (Outside Two Whales Diner)

After taking a photo of the whale, turn around and look in the opposite direction at a car on top of a damaged roof. Players will have to position Max on the left-hand side of the vehicle to get the prompt to snap a picture. Doing so will pop the "Blowup" Trophy/Achievement.

Optional Photo Opportunity 6 - Table Graffiti (Mr. Jefferson's Classroom)

The next time Max is in Mr. Jefferson's classroom, go to the same table where she took the first optional photo collectible in Episode 1 of Life is Strange. This will get players the "Iris" Trophy/Achievement.

Optional Photo Opportunity 7 - Giant Squirrels (Girls' Dormitories)

This photo is taken during the dream-like sequence where Max seems to be looping an endless cycle of her dormitory hallway, which PT fans might find familiar. After Max changes to Victoria, and then back to herself, check the window by the door to the showers. There will be two giant squirrels outside. Taking their picture will unlock the "Sensor" Trophy/Achievement.

The rodents will be a familiar subject if players have been trying to get every collectible in the game, as Max has had to take a photo of a squirrel since the very first set of optional photo collectibles in Episode 1 of Life is Strange.

Optional Photo Opportunity 8 - Skeleton (School Hallway)

Everything will be backwards during this section of the game. Walk down the hallways and take the first right to locate this skeleton by the front doors. Players may notice it as an optional photo collectible from Episode 3 of Life is Strange.

Instead of getting the photo prompt by the skeleton, however, the "Journal" text and icon will appear in the bottom right-hand corner of the scene. Press the button to open it, and Max will un-take a picture, unlocking the "On Display" Trophy/Achievement.

Optional Photo Opportunity 9 - Warren's Locker (Nightmare Sequence)

Players will have to avoid the flashlights of Mr. Jefferson, David, Samuel and Nathan in Life is Strange as part of Max's nightmare sequence near the end of Episode 5. When at the locker surroundings of this mini stealth section, take a right from where Samuel the janitor is to find Warren's locker. Open it and take the optional photo opportunity to get the "Light Meter" Trophy/Achievement.

Optional Photo Opportunity 10 - Bottles (Nightmare Sequence)

Right after the locker portion of the stealth gameplay section, Max will come to a junkyard-like area heavily reminiscent of the junkyard in Episode 2 of Life is Strange. Collect the five bottles around the area and place them on a plank near the lighthouse bench at the back. Take this last optional photo to unlock both the "Silhouettes" and "Selfie Awareness" Trophies/Achievements.

Finding the ten photo opportunities in every episode of Life is Strange will lead to a very easy Platinum Trophy, or full Gamerscore, as they are the only optional unlockables in the game.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with a Switch version releasing later in 2022.
