As players progress through Lies of P, they will gain access to multiple upgrade mechanics. They can craft and bolster weapons, swap blades and handles, craft Legion Arm sub-weapons, and activate special buffs and other perks by upgrading the P-Organ. Once players find and rescue Geppetto, they'll gain access to his tools within the office upstairs in Hotel Krat. It's there that they can access the P-Organ upgrade menu, but they may also notice a special menu called Change Shape.

At the start of the game, right after players gain access to Geppetto's Tools, the Change Shape menu won't appear to do anything. In fact, many players may go a majority of their adventure without noticing any available options. Here's a look at what Change Shape does in Lies of P.

What Does Change Shape Do In Lies Of P?

Although Change Shape may seem like something of importance to the P-Organ, considering it is located in the same machine as the upgrade menu, it actually has nothing to do with it. Instead, Change Shape will provide characters with certain cosmetic changes as they progress through the story. Lies of P contains certain story points and dialogue options that will give players the chance to lie or tell the truth. Lying goes against the rules of what makes Pinocchio a puppet and will directly affect him over time. If players find themselves lying a lot, they'll see a subtle change, with the character taking on more human-like qualities. One example is that his hair will grow out slightly, taking on a longer and more disheveled look.

If players end up with longer hair and wish to change back to the traditional short hair they had in the opening hours of the game, they can access the Change Shape menu in order to revert to the original design. This Change Shape menu should house even more changes and cosmetic choices based on the decisions players make during their journey. All options appear to be cosmetic and none should affect gameplay mechanics in any meaningful way.
