Antonia is one of the main characters in Lies of P. She is the owner of Hotel Krat, the last safe place for those seeking refuge from the puppet frenzy. She is an old woman affected by the Petrification Disease. Lies of P players can talk to her to learn about Geppeto and lying. As the story moves forward, Antonia's medical condition worsens, which worries the people in Hotel Krat. The responsibility to help her falls on the shoulders of Pinocchio.
Should You Give the Cure to Antonia?
After defeating the King of Puppets, players need to return to Hotel Krat and approach Antonia. It will initiate a cutscene, and for the first time, Antonia's Petrification Disease is properly visible. Subsequently, she asks a question, and players will be given two choices. They can either choose to tell the Truth or Lie. The answer here doesn't matter, and players will progress to the next phase irrespective of their choice.
Next, head to the desk to find a letter from Polendina asking Pinocchio to meet him outside in the courtyard. Go to his location and talk to him. This will present players with another dilemma. Once again, players can either tell the Truth or Lie without any real consequences.
After some time, players will see Polendina's icon pop up near Hotel Krat whenever they access the Stargazer. Fast-travel to the hotel, and this time, the butler puppet will ask for help to get a cure for Antonia. Go to the Giangio, who can be found in the room next to the Gold Coin Fruit Tree. Talk to him, and he will ask for a Gold Coin Fruit in exchange for the cure.
Then, go back to Polendina and give him the cure. He will ask whether to administer the cure or leave Antonia as she is. Depending on the choice, there can be two outcomes. If players decide to encourage Polendina, Antonia will die after the fight with Laxasia The Complete. Following their victory over her, they will need to go to Gepetto's room, where they will find an empty wheelchair with a note from Antonia along with the Memory of Beach record.
If the players decide not to give her the cure, Antonia will die in pain. They will not receive the record, which is required to earn the Golden Melody trophy. So, it is advised to give Antonia the cure, at least in the first playthrough, in order to get the record. Her death breaks Polendina's heart, and he decides to go back to being a normal puppet.
