Nexon's dreary and action-packed Lies of P is one of the most highly-anticipated games of September 2023, and it's slated to be released for previous and current-gen consoles as well as PC. Here, players get to explore a grim reimagining of Pinocchio featuring everything the Soulslike genre is known for.
The visuals stunning visuals and gorgeous art direction in Lies of P might have some gamers worried about possible performance hiccups, but its recently revealed final system requirements suggest that it'll be more than just playable across a wide variety of modern PCs. Here's a brief overview of what players need to run this game smoothly.
Lies of P Minimum System Requirements
At a glance, Lies of P already appears to be much friendlier to older PC builds compared to other games within the same launch window. Here are each of the systems required to run it at its low preset graphics settings:
System | Requirement |
CPU | Intel Core i3-6300/AMD Ryzen 3 1200 |
Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB/ AMD Radeon RX 560 4GB |
RAM | 8GB |
Storage | 50 GB (HDD) |
OS | Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit 1909 (or higher) |
API | DirectX 12 |
With the PC setup displayed above, players should be able to run Lies of P at 60 FPS in 1080p resolution with much of its video settings toned down to Low. AMD GPU users may enjoy a smoother gameplay experience compared to NVIDIA card owners thanks to FSR2, though overall FPS will still depend on how much load a CPU can handle.
It's also worth noting the Lies of P is capable of running well even when installed on an HDD, contrary to many other modern games. Still, an SSD is still recommended so players can enjoy faster loading times whenever they find themselves bested by mad puppets and Krat's other monstrosities.
Lies of P Recommended PC Requirements
The higher end of the specs list is surprisingly tame as well. Gamers don't need a beast of a modern PC to enjoy Lies of P in its best possible graphics settings, though a well-built machine should be able to push for those higher resolutions.
System | Requirement |
CPU | Intel Core i3-6300/AMD Ryzen 3 1200 |
Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB/AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB |
RAM | 16GB |
Storage | 50GB (SSD) |
OS | Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit 1909 or higher |
API | DirectX 12 |
Meeting the recommended system requirements should allow for 60FPS gaming at 1080p resolution using the game's Best settings preset. NVIDIA also confirmed that Lies of P will support DLSS 2 — users rocking any of the new RTX 40-series cards won't be able to enjoy this feature, but anyone else with either an RTX 20 or 30-series card should enjoy better frames on 4K resolution with max settings.
Lies of P launches Sept. 19 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with a Day One release on Game Pass.
