Lies of P is a Soulslike game that is based on Carlo Callodi’s world-famous children’s tale The Adventures of Pinocchio. The game advances as Pinocchio journeys through to find his creator, Geppetto, and ultimately becomes a human.
Like most Soulslike games, Lies of P also has several shops and merchants. These shops have a variety of items that players need to fight enemies and protect themselves in the game. This guide covers how players can upgrade shops in Lies of P.
How to Upgrade Shops in Lies of P
There are two major shops in Lies of P in the Hotel Krat hub area. Both these shops are run by two characters: Pulcinella and Polendina. Pulcinella is the personal butler of Venigni, while Polendina is the receptionist at Hotel Krat as well as the personal puppet of Antonia. Both these puppets have a number of supplies that players can buy with Ergo, and both are found at Hotel Krat.
Initially, the selection of items available at both Pulcinella and Polendina is quite limited, but this can be remedied. As players explore Krat, they will see various items. More specifically, players will come across chests that contain special supply boxes. Players can collect these chests and deliver them back to Polendina or Pulcinella. Delivering these items to the merchants increases their stock, and players will then be able to buy previously unavailable items ranging from unique weapons to amulets and more.
To upgrade Polendina, players will need three supply boxes. Polendina’s shop can be accessed when players enter the Hotel Krat near the front desk. As for upgrading Pulcinella, they will need three Venigni Collections. However, it is important to mention that Pulcinella isn’t accessible right away; players will first need to complete a couple of chapters to be able to unlock him.
Other Shops in Lies of P
Polendina and Pulcinella are two merchants whose shops can be upgraded. However, players need to keep in mind that in Lies of P, there are two more shops that cannot be upgraded, so they should not waste any efforts in fruitless attempts.
Alidoro is a treasure hunter who also sells a few items. But rather than having an extensive collection, he merely exchanges Rare Ergo from bosses into special gear, so there is no way to upgrade his shop. The second shop that cannot be upgraded is the Wandering Merchant. There is no upgrade to the Wandering Merchant simply because he already has enough goods of his own.
